UP is invited by local school districts to restart chronically underperforming district schools as UP Academies. Role
The Director of Development Strategy and Operations will oversee the strategy and operations of UP's Development team, ensuring the organization meets its fundraising and development goals. Specific Responsibilities
Create and Manage Team Strategy to Meet Goals
Lead and manage the Development team to raise $1m per year by providing strategic direction, setting priorities, and driving operational execution to ensure opportunities are identified and realized.
Oversee development operations, monitoring progress and holding the team accountable, keeping the CEO informed, adjusting strategies as needed, and ensuring all activities are executed efficiently.
Prepare the team, especially the CEO, for high-impact donor and partner meetings with briefing materials, research, and follow-up content in partnership with Sr. Manager of Development and Communications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date fundraising and donor information systems.
Communicate clearly and confidently, setting a standard of goal-driven excellence.
Board Management
Ensure board members feel valued and actively engaged in UP's mission.
Organize and manage board meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and note-taking in partnership with the board chair.
Support onboarding of new members and cultivation of prospective members by providing necessary information and materials.
Conduct relationship mapping to leverage board member networks for funding opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of board members' connections and contributions.
Engage board members to host micro-events that increase contributions and deepen engagement with UP.
Manage a Portfolio of Donors
Own the organization's mid to small-dollar donor strategy ($10k and below) and meet or exceed contribution goals.
Manage and grow a portfolio of donors, cultivating new and existing relationships and guiding them through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship stages, including upgrading contributions from small to major gifts.
Plan and lead donor cultivation and stewardship activities aligned with the Development strategy, including through events, in partnership with the Sr. Manager of Development and Communications.

As our programs receive funding through the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), all
employees and volunteers must complete a background record check (BRC) through the
Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) under federal law.
Effective May 2024, all staff in EEC child care programs must take the new EEC Essentials 2.0
training course. All new hires must complete EEC Essentials 2.0 before working with children.

Inspect interior and exterior of building for vandalism.
Request corrective action through the senior custodian.
Reports emergencies to the senior custodian.
Works overtime during emergencies or as required to service permits.
Observes all safety rules.
Through the senior custodian, regulates the HVAC system to provide appropriate indoor temperature.
Opens or locks all exit doors. Checks panic hardware, door closers. Reports any malfunctions.
Performs grounds and play area responsibilities. Cuts grass, trims, fertilizes and weeds, performs minor exterior repairs, litter picks up, etc.
Performs minor building/equipment repairs. Handles minor painting/touch up.
Oils, lubricates, maintains equipment, changes filters.
Checks fire safety, emergency lighting, fires/smoke alarm, deluge showers, eyewash stations.
Recommends reordering of supply items to the senior custodian.
Performs any paperwork required.
Works congenitally with all building personnel, visitors, co-workers, superiors, etc.

Evaluate and screen students to assess cognitive abilities and social-emotional and behavioral needs;
Write evaluation reports including all cognitive, social-emotional, and behavior assessments and goals;

Role:
The Special Education ABA Specialist is responsible for the implementation of individualized intervention utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and discrete trial programs within a classroom setting and/or individually if deemed necessary. He/she will work under the direction and supervision of the Special Education and Student Services Program Director for ABA. The Special Education ABA Specialist will work as a member of a collaborative team and participate in IEP team meetings as needed.
Responsibilities:
Accurately implement structured and individualized intervention programs (behavior reduction and skill acquisition) developed by the Program Director for ABA
Follow specific management guidelines for each student
Work as a team member to ensure delivery of high quality intervention across environments
Maintain accurate data collection and graphing for each program
Facilitate structured peer group activities as appropriate
Attend regularly scheduled team meetings for each student s program
Attend training opportunities, as assigned by the Program Director for ABA
Promptly and appropriately communicate problems/concerns with the Program Director for ABA or other appropriate administrator
Complete daily documentation of service delivery for each student served
Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all student specific information (as required by HIPPA)

Qualifications - Required:
Bachelors degree, or enrollment in a degree-granting program, (or higher) in Special Education, Education, Psychology or a related field

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in ABA intervention including data collection and report writing
Demonstrated ability to accurately and consistently follow Behavior Support Plans and Curriculum Plan
Effective written and oral communication skills with students, families, teachers and administrators

TITLE Expanded Learning Time (ELT) High School Student Intern 2025-2026 School Year
The Expanded Learning Time (ELT) High School Student Intern works alongside the Explorers'
Group Leader by providing support with the delivery of engaging and academically enriching
activities for Framingham Public Schools students in grades K-5. ELT High School Interns are
expected to assist the group leader in facilitating high quality project based learning activities
during before and after school programming, and also support the healthy social and emotional

BACKGROUND CHECK AND TRAINING:
As our programs receive funding through the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), all
Employees and volunteers must complete a background record check (BRC) through the
Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) under federal law.
Effective May 2024, all staff in EEC child care programs must take the new EEC Essentials 2.0
training course. All new hires must complete EEC Essentials 2.0 before working with children.
Thereafter, an annual EEC Essentials refresher package will be required for all staff in EEC-licensed and funded programs. The annual refresher package will be published and available in fall 2025. This training currently does not apply to Little Explorers at Juniper Hill.
