The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology is comprised of physicians, nurses, researchers, Advanced Practice Providers (APP) and other healthcare professionals specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers or disorders of the blood. As RN Team Lead in this department, you will coordinate and oversee daily operations, workflows, delivery of care and caregiver education as needed. Some of your responsibilities will include direct patient support, while others are more clerical and administrative in nature. A caregiver in this role will work 8:00am to 4:30pm with rotating evenings and weekends. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care to a specific patient population in a variety of ambulatory settings. Assist in providing clinical oversight to assigned caregivers and patients to ensure quality and safe care. Coordinate and resolve daily operational issues. Perform duties of an RN Ambulatory. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives. Facilitate orientation, teaching, coaching and mentoring of assigned caregivers. Assist in preparing department specific education. Participate in quality initiatives, process improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes, experience and safety. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Two years of recent RN experience Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Ability to travel to Cleveland Clinic regional locations Cancer-specific certification or demonstrated ongoing qualifying education for Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Cancer Center/Cancer Clinic and/or Chemotherapy Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) Previous Charge Nurse or supervisory experience Previous hematology/oncology experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $31.50 Maximum hourly: $49.90 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
