Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + One year of current phlebotomy experience + Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within three months of hire + Current, valid driver's license and personal liability insurance coverage with the limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident on bodily injury and $100,000 in property liability damage + Experience and proficiency in blood collection from all patients + Experience in handling and transporting laboratory specimens, laboratory safety, medical terminology and laboratory waste management + Working knowledge of clinical laboratory and tests performed + Clean criminal history Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduation certificate from a formal accredited phlebotomy program + ASCP phlebotomy certification + Two years of current phlebotomy experience + Phlebotomy experience in a nursing home setting Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
