+ Troubleshoots and maintains campus distribution steam, chilled water, electric and water meters.
+ Installs, calibrates, and programs differential pressure transducers, electric meters, water meters, vortex steam meters, BTU meters, and temperature sensors.
+ Manages database for installed meters campus-wide.
+ Interfaces with Building Automation System to manage utility consumption data.
+ Investigates abnormal utility consumption events.
+ Analyzes meter reading data and prepares data for monthly billing.

The Fairview Wellness Center operates as a high-volume outpatient rehabilitation facility, with up to 19 professionals providing care for 120-140 patients daily across orthopedics, neurology, and lymphedema specialties. As an Occupational and Physical Therapy Technician, you will support licensed therapy personnel in lifting, transferring, gait-training and exercising patients, providing aid and treatment as directed. This role is an excellent entrance into the healthcare field, offering extensive hands-on experience and opportunities to develop new skills.
**A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. depending on department needs.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Maintain sanitary, orderly conditions in department.
+ Inventory departmental equipment.
+ Ensure equipment is in good working order.
+ Fabricate equipment as directed.
+ Perform set-up of patient-related equipment.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
+ Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficient to perform the duties of the job
+ Sufficient mathematical knowledge to maintain inventory levels for the department, measure items such as disinfectants and crutches, fabricate equipment and adhere to supplies budget when ordering
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Experience in health care in direct patient care
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to walk without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling during gait training.
+ Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
+ Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.
+ Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements.
+ Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families who may not be able to read. Ability to hear or understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.
+ Mental ability to interpret clinical data for the establishment and implementation of appropriate patient treatment.
+ Ability to identify and resolve problems using critical thinking and decision-making.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
