Marion General Hospital is hiring a part-time (24 hours/week) Cardiac Sonographer for their open Thursday-Friday shift 7:00a-7:30p and every 5th Saturday (this would be the same Saturday as on-call schedule). The call requirement is every 5th week (Saturday-Friday, 7:30p-7:00a) with a 1-hour response time. The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for inpatient volumes which allows the technologist to easily work through the workflow at their own pace.
The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, vascular studies, and follow-up paperwork for each procedure. Displays caring, courteous behavior in dealing with patients and their families, coworkers, physicians, and guests of the hospital.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Performs ultrasound imaging.
Prepares required reports.
Maintains files.
Maintains equipment. Provides needed statistics.
Handles telephone to schedule and provide information.
Reviews results of echocardiogram with physicians and performs quality assurance activities.

Position Summary

**Job Accountabilities (Responsibilities)**

Assist in creating and revising accurate Financial Aid (FA) Estimates for prospective, first-time, undergraduate students and their families under the guidance of the Financial Aid staff. Collaborate with the admissions team to distribute FA Estimates and provide support to prospective students and their families in understanding options for covering University costs. Regularly interact with students and their families through emails, phone calls, and Mongoose to provide financial aid counseling and outreach. Support the admissions and financial aid teams in ensuring new students complete the financial aid process for fall and spring starts before classes begin. Help monitor student balances and provide guidance to current students on available options to cover outstanding costs. Participate in admissions events, such as Preview Days, Scholarship Days, New Student Registration, and Orientation, engaging directly with prospective and current students. Provide excellent customer service to the UF community by assisting students and families with understanding federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies and resources. Assist in presenting financial aid and financial literacy information in workshops or small group settings as needed. Offer support at the front desk during peak times and assist students with general financial aid inquiries. Maintain a positive and professional work atmosphere, fostering strong relationships with team members and students. Perform other duties as appropriate for the graduate assistant position.
