Upside is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as Deputy General Counsel. The Deputy General Counsel will report to the CFO and eventually work closely with a General Counsel to identify, develop, communicate, and monitor policies that will ensure compliance with law by the entire company. What you'll do:
Oversee contract review and execution process for entire company
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with merchant partners, data providers, and vendors
Provide legal advice across many subject areas, including contract law, privacy, data protection, consumer protection laws, and commercial litigation
Work with and manage outside counsel
Competencies You'll Need:
12+ years of experience as a practicing attorney (including in house or at a law firm)
Extensive experience and expertise with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Experience with data privacy law is preferable
Ability to handle major problems in practice areas with little or no supervision
Sound business judgment and industry knowledge
Experience managing client relationships with business leaders
Experience in the technology industry is highly preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively and work collaboratively with individuals at all levels
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
J.D. degree and membership in at least one US state bar

This hybrid role is based in our DC office. In-office attendance is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and may increase based on project-based needs and changes to Upside's in-office policy over time.
Compensation:
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $240,000 + equity + benefits. The final starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Product & Innovation to join our Product & Innovation organization. This role is based in New York, NY.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and execution-focused Senior Vice President to help drive BNY's product and innovation agenda - spanning digital platforms, data, payments, and next-generation financial infrastructure.
This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technology enablement, and client delivery. The ideal candidate will combine product management experience with a strong understanding of how emerging technologies and market trends are reshaping financial services. You'll help design, develop, and scale new capabilities that position BNY for continued leadership in a rapidly evolving industry.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Product Strategy & Innovation
Support the definition and execution of product roadmaps across core innovation themes (e.g., data, payments modernization, digital assets, and infrastructure).
Conduct market, client, and competitor analyses to identify opportunities and guide product direction.
Translate strategic priorities into actionable business requirements and plans.
Program Execution & Delivery
Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver initiatives that are scalable, compliant, and impactful.
Manage project milestones, dependencies, and progress tracking to ensure timely delivery.
Prepare executive updates and materials for governance and review forums.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Engagement
Collaborate with partners across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, and Risk to align goals and drive execution.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to validate concepts and inform product design.
Support leadership communications and presentations to maintain transparency and alignment.
Commercialization & Measurement
Contribute to commercialization strategies, success metrics, and adoption tracking for new products.
Analyze client feedback and product performance to refine and scale offerings.
Support business planning, quarterly reporting, and budget tracking related to innovation initiatives.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
8-10 years of experience in product management, strategy, consulting, or innovation within financial services or technology-driven sectors.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to connect strategy to execution.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across teams, and deliver results.
Exposure to capital markets, payments, or digital asset innovation preferred but not required.
Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable mindset with a focus on driving tangible outcomes.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

What you'll do:
Support Consumer Product team with KPI reporting, setting OKRs, and preparing for regular product reviews
Shape the product roadmap through exploratory analysis and hypothesis generation grounded in our growth objectives
Conduct root-cause investigations and pre/post analyses to understand the “why?” behind user behavior and product performance
Contribute to forecasting by estimating and then measuring the revenue impact of product initiatives
Build intuitive dashboards and data products that bring clarity to complex user journeys and product KPIs

What you need:

Strong proficiency in SQL and/or Python to organize and analyze multiple large datasets - we use Snowflake
Comfort with data visualization tools - we use Looker and Hex
Familiarity with event-based product analytics and the art of defining meaningful events and properties - we use Figma, Segment, and Mixpanel
Experience designing, launching, and analyzing A/B tests - including power analysis, user bucketing, and success metrics - we use Optimizely

Location:
This hybrid role is based in our Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC office. In-office attendance is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and may increase based on project-based needs and changes to Upside's in-office policy over time.
Compensation:
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $170,000 + equity + benefits. The final starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
