Ural Airlines company history timeline

1943

Ural Airlines was founded in 1943 as Sverdlovsk State Air Enterprises (Aeroflot). Absorbed into Aeroflot as Aeroflot, Uralsk Civil Aviation.

1970

Sergey Skuratov started his career in 1970 as a co-pilot on AN-2 aircraft in the 2nd Sverdlovsk United Aviation Division.

1975

Since 1975 he worked in Sverdlovsk United Aviation Division and has overcome all stages of the pilot"s career path on the aircraft AN-24, AN-26, IL-18, TU-154, IL-86.

1984

In 1984, he was appointed as the head of the Flight safety inspection of the Ural Civil Aviation Authority.

1993

Became a joint stock company under the laws of the Russian Federation on 28/Dec/1993.

2006

In 2006, Ural Airlines transported the first million passengers in a year.

2012

In 2012, Ural Airlines became an IOSA registered airline after successfully passing the regular international audit for compliance with operational safety standards.

2013

In 2013, Ural Airlines transported 4.4 million passengers and came in 6th place in Russia that year in numbers of passengers transported.

2015

The Aviation Maintenance Center of URAL AILRINES was opened in January 2015.

Since that time, the airline has grown, and the passenger number has also increased up to 5,4 million passengers in 2015.

2016

In 2016, the Ural Airlines fleet consists of 35 modern and comfortable European aircraft:19 A320s, 10 A321s, and 6 A319s.

2017

Since 2017, Ural Airlines, Russia’s fourth largest carrier by passenger traffic, is certified with the 3-Star Airline Rating from Skytrax.

2018

In 2018, three Airbus aircraft joined the fleet of Ural Airlines that currently operates 46 Airbus aircraft from its main hubs at Moscow-Domodedovo and Yekaterinburg.

2019

In 2019, Ural airlines pilots had flown over 7432 hours of simulator training.

2022

URAL AIRLINES is IOSA registered Operator based on the results of an international audit for compliance with recognized operational safety standards until April 25, 2022.
