Urban Engineers company history timeline
August 1, 1960 – The Founders.
Urban Engineering is a Corpus Christi civil engineering firm founded on April 1, 1965, by Eugene and Larry Urban.
In 1966, they purchased McClendon and Associates, an engineering consulting firm in Corpus Christi.
Then, in 1969 Urban began what would become four decades of continuously providing services for the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
In 1981, an associate office was established in Victoria, Texas.
In January of 1984, the firm in Victoria was incorporated using the corporate title of Victoria Engineering, Inc.; however, the firm continues to do business as Urban Engineering.
For surveying services, Urban Surveying, Inc. was established in 1993 to provide professional boundary, topographic and construction surveys for a variety of clients.
While maintaining a hands-on approach and focus on diversity and innovation, Urban grew to over 300 employees and attained the ISO 9001:2015 certification, the internationally-recognized gold standard for quality management.
