RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, responsible for the quality management duties including quality of the works, material management, documentation and close-out to ensure safe, quality, efficient, effective and profitable project execution.
+ Coaches, mentors and trains entire project staff in quality management principles, procedures and project-specific requirements. Serves as mentor and coach to Quality staff to advance their careers at Walsh and improve retention.
+ Responsible for leading and managing quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports, Lesson Sharing and follow-up inspections.
+ Establishes, monitors and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as QIRs for project teams to ensure continuous improvement. Analyzes project KPIs, evaluates trends and provides improvement strategies.
+ Routinely audits project quality programs seeking continuous improvement utilizing Project QC Evaluation and other auditing tools. Provides feedback to Operations and Quality Management of major QIRs, project team relationships, owner/client perceptions, and overall quality management recurring non-conformances.
+ Directs inspection, testing and documentation of the works. Schedules inspection and testing with coordination between operations, consultants, material laboratories and Client.
+ Creates and implements project specific inspection and test plans, quality control plans and other procedures as necessary. Additionally, supports with material specification review such as concrete mix design, thermal control and other quality specialized elements.
+ Responsible for risk management strategy that helps projects improve profitability by reducing risk and improving efficiency via process management and risk mitigation.
+ Maintains relationships with owners, Clients, subcontractors, design partners and stakeholders to support project partnering and issue resolution.
+ Supports Site Safety to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety procedures, requirements and goals.
+ Monitors project quality costs including resources while working to better as-bid budgets. Provides feedback to optimize project billing returns, risk reporting and testing accuracy, while protecting Walsh from claim exposure. Monitors and reports rework costs via QIR system.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ AEC Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent related field experience with International Code Counsel, NICET, etc. Current certification required
+ USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required
+ Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required to review and certify that the test, inspection, and procedures satisfy requirements
+ Limited travel for projects as necessary
+ Level 1 QCM
+ Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years preferred in a Quality role
+ Good communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
+ Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications of job related duties

Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work‐related injuries and illnesses and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
Conduct investigation and immediately report all incidents, near misses, and occupational illness, and recommend means of preventing recurrence.
Perform floor walks and observe work activities; document observations and provide coaching/feedback to personnel to ensure proper safe work behaviors and practices.
Maintain current knowledge of specific government agency requirements.
Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions.
Collect and evaluate project data in both field and office settings.
Perform environmental fieldwork primarily in relation to industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and EHS auditing.

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer and Project Manager with 10 or more years of experience in planning, design, and project management on water and wastewater and municipal infrastructure projects to work from either of our offices focusing on managing utility design and municipal water/wastewater projects. * Develops detailed material take-offs for procurement of bulk materials.

* Develops cash flow schedules and estimates.
* Knowledgeable of the CAES estimating system.
* Prepares scope and bid package breakdowns for subcontract and vendor quotes.
* Prepares subcontract bid analysis for scope, cost, and price.
* Understands Earned Value Management (EVMS) theory and application.

Job Description
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientist/engineer to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance team in Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL, locations. You will work at one of our key client's locations and with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering compliance and corporate conformance tasks and encouraging a proactive health and safety culture.
The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the health and safety and/or environmental field. This position requires excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to work on diverse projects, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of various cross-functional teams, client stakeholders, site personnel and office management, and can work both independently and as a part of a project team.
The Responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:
Under limited supervision, responsible for moderately complex technical work in a wide range of environmental, safety and health disciplines to achieve compliance with ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Identify and evaluate operational environment, health & safety (EHS) risks.
Conduct assessments of client's existing EHS programs to ensure alignment with the regional strategy.
Execute EHS training needs based on identified operational risks and ensure that workforce training activities are provided to meet client's business and legislative requirements.
Ensure the implementation and conformance of the client's EHS requirements as appropriate.
Monitor and advise on the client's EHS requirements and applicable EHS references to ensure regulatory requirements are implemented and followed onsite.
Work with and advise contractors in identification and implementation of corrective actions for identified deficiencies or issues.
Attend and participate in essential meetings not limited to All Hands, Stand Downs, Orientations, Safety Committees, EHS Leads, Activity Briefings, Coordination Meeting, etc.
Create, validate and communicate lessons learned from safety incidents and near misses with the client's EHS team(s) and trade partners.
Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work‐related injuries and illnesses and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
Conduct investigation and immediately report all incidents, near misses, and occupational illness, and recommend means of preventing recurrence.
Perform floor walks and observe work activities; document observations and provide coaching/feedback to personnel to ensure proper safe work behaviors and practices.
Maintain current knowledge of specific government agency requirements.
Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions.
Collect and evaluate project data in both field and office settings.
Perform environmental fieldwork primarily in relation to industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and EHS auditing.
Prepare and implement work plans, data compilation/analysis, and report preparation (text, tables, figures, and calculations).
Serve as a mentor to junior and mid-level staff.
Review permits and plans to facilitate compliance with environmental regulations.
Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice.
Act as a lead role for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel.
Administer an ES&H program on a small or medium-sized project.
Proactively encourage a culture of producing high-quality work and the importance of Health & Safety within the team.
Provide technical support to client stakeholders and support inter-disciplinary business activities.
Collaborate with other AECOM offices, practices, and business lines.
Perform independent hands-on fieldwork, oversee construction contractors and other field personnel, and interact with various client stakeholders.
Comfortably work with technology, apps and databases.
Undertake technical work in accordance with the contracted scope of work, budget, schedule and legislative standards.
Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offerings.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid US Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review
As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
