Position Description:
We are looking for a Natural Gas Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Southern offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, and five to ten years of similar work experience. Experience with natural gas and other utilities is preferred. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include:
Design various natural gas projects including distribution mains, transmission pipelines, metering & regulating facilities as well as launcher/receiver assemblies.
Perform civil site design, trenchless installation design, utility conflict analysis, and traffic control plan design.
Prepare design reports and construction plans using client, local, state, or other applicable standards.
Coordinate preparation of specifications and permit submittals.
Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
Document design changes and communications.
Conduct on-site observations as needed.
Prepare project status and other reports.
Assist in the preparation of proposals.
Assist Project Managers as needed.
Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc.
Attend seminars and/or training classes.
Maintain excellent client relations.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
Skills/Experience:
5-10 years of experience is required.
