We are currently recruiting new part time Bilingual English/Spanish LMSW clinicians to join our Bronx-Based Article-31 Mental Health Clinic, VIDA Guidance Center. This role serves as a part time therapist, providing individual therapy to children, adults, and families.
Part Time commitment is between 12-16 hours per week with a regular weekly commitment to work shifts falling within the operations hours of the center (Hours falling between Monday to Thursday 9a-8p, Fridays 9a-5p, and Saturdays 9a-2p)
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work required.
NYS Licensed Master SocialWorker (LMSW)
Bilingual English and Spanish required.
Proficiency with evidence-based modalities.
2 years of previous experience in a mental health clinic, hospital, behavioral health, or similar setting required.
Key Duties:
Completes documentation in accordance with OMH regulations. Monitors treatment plans for patients.
Provides bio-psychosocial assessments and clinical diagnostic assessments.
Conducts individual psychotherapy
Maintains skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The SocialWorker/MSW I is responsible for the social assessment of all adolescent patients; for intervention on behalf of any other patient who requests or is referred for social services. Responsibility also includes the mutual development and implementation of a plan designed to strengthen the life skills of that individual.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:
Essential Functions:
Assess client's social and emotional needs and jointly, with the client, develop a plan to meet those needs.
Provide concrete services to the client and family, or assist them in securing such services.
Record pertinent data in the client's medical record concerning services given.
Provide short-term goal-oriented social work intervention; a minimum of six cases will be carried by each socialworker for short-term counseling: statistics are to be submitted monthly.
Identifies outside resources for referrals and establish a working relationship (network or contractual); to monitor the effectiveness of contracted services and make necessary adjustments.
Conduct, after appropriate training, HIV universal counseling, including pre-and post-test counseling, on-going support and case management where needed.
Participate equally in the prenatal, family planning and primary care programs, including initial psychosocial on all patients, ensure appropriate financial screening. For adolescents, conduct an in-depth assessment to include adjustment to pregnancy, familial and social supports, parenting skills, etc.
Provide health education services; including individual and group sessions.
Participate in staff development opportunities.
Facilitate related services for health center patients and CHN staff as appropriate, with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
Serve on committees or task forces, as assigned.
Co-facilitate group work services for special needs population.
Other duties as assigned.

The Healthy Beginnings Program SocialWorker (MSW) provides psycho-social screening, depression screening/rescreening, assessment, counseling, referrals and case consultation for enrolled patients. They prepare reports ahead of team meetings and assist in the preparation of the agenda for prioritized case discussions. Interfaces with team members both internally and externally as permitted by HIPAA to coordinate services and escalate cases to Coordinator, Provider or Licensed SocialWorker based on emerging risk factors. Participates in home or hospital visits occasionally as needed. Provides psychoeducation to enrolled patients in groups, and for events such as baby showers, arts events, mommy and me classes, healthy weight post pregnancy, stress reduction, healthy cooking classes, etc. Participates in the collection of program data for evaluation.
This role is hybrid with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Social Work is required.
Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
1-2 years of experiences with social support services.
Previous experience supporting maternal/child health is a plus!
Excellent interpersonal skills including over the phone, in person, and e-mails.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Data-Driven software programs, electronic records, etc. are essential.
Thrives in fieldwork driven role with comfortability with facilitating home visits for the program.
Key Duties:

Integrate and coordinate complimentary services for enrolled patients receiving social work services including but not limited to Nurse Family Partnership, UHP's MICHC and PICHC programs, WIC, etc.
Participate in home or hospital visits occasionally as needed.
Provide psychoeducation to enrolled patients in groups, and for events such as baby showers, arts events, mommy and me classes, healthy weight post pregnancy, stress reduction, healthy cooking classes, etc.
Participate in the collection of program data for evaluation.
Complete documentation in the medical record, as required.
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:Hybrid, Bronx, NY, Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm and/or 9am-6pm.
Compensation: Minimum: $60,000 annually; Maximum: $60,000 annually
