The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) Housing Department provides direct service programs and resources to individuals and families through shelters, transitional housing, rental assistance, and homeownership programs. ULMS will be opening a permanent supportive housing facility in Federal Way WA. This site will be staffed 24/7. Positions may train at our permanent supportive housing site in West Seattle until the new facility opens.
The Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager supports HTH residents in accessing support services, community integration, life skill training, housing maintenance, transportation, and other needed services. This role provides day-to-day case management for residents who are transitioning from homelessness to safe, secure, long-term housing. The PSH CM is primarily responsible for assisting residents with their daily and ongoing needs, particularly with challenges that arise that may be related to severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders. Using Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Advanced Motivational Interviewing models of case management that are driven, solution-focused, and facilitate change and movement toward greater stability and well-being, the PSH CM will work with the residents to develop a list of key challenges, needs, and interests and then establish specific and measurable goals around them. The Case Manager coordinates the continuity of services for each resident on their caseload. This includes coordinating care planning, completing a comprehensive assessment of needs, developing a Case Management Plan, monitoring its effectiveness of, and ensuring resource linkage, referral, and advocacy.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* 2+ years of experience in social services case management
* High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human service field preferred
* Knowledge of HIPAA compliance when collecting and storing participant's information.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Janitorial & General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing basic repairs to multiple building systems and equipment to ensure the facility is tidy, clean, and operates smoothly. This position performs basic upkeep tasks, including repairs, cleaning, and basic maintenance. This position takes responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and the preparation of vacant units for occupancy. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, groundskeeping, trash disposal, and general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures etc., installation of appliances, apartment turnovers, etc.

Job Summary:
An Assistant Park District Manager directs and coordinates the work of work crews in a single district of the municipal parks system. The work of this class involves directing the activities of park operation and maintenance and labor work units.
Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek and are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week due to emergencies such as violent storms, fires, vandalism, and public disturbances. Work is performed outdoors where seasonal extremes of weather; insects and damaged or tottering trees may be encountered. The work requires minimal physical exertion.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Have a high school diploma or GED certification from an accredited institution.

Job description Safe, habitable, and affordable housing is a basic need. The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) Housing Department provides direct service programs and resources to individuals and families through shelters, transitional housing, rental assistance, and homeownership programs. ULMS will be opening a permanent supportive housing facility in Federal Way WA. This site will be staffed 24/7 - Day, swing, and graveyard shifts will be available. Positions will train at our permanent supportive housing site in West Seattle for the first few months until the new facility opens.
The Support Service Staff will support residents by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized space. This position is responsible for providing and/or assisting residents in accessing support services, community integration, life skill training, housing maintenance, transportation, and other needed services
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
HS Diploma or GED required
Ability to read and write in standard English
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports and other correspondence
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of adults with multiple challenges
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
Experience in working with homeless individuals is strongly preferred
Non-profit experience strongly preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
2 years of direct experience working with individuals who face challenges and barriers including homelessness
High school diploma or equivalent

Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager - Health Through Housing

The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) Housing Department provides direct service programs and resources to individuals and families through shelters, transitional housing, rental assistance, and homeownership programs. This opening is for our West Seattle location.
The Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager supports HTH residents in accessing support services, community integration, life skill training, housing maintenance, transportation, and other needed services. This role provides day-to-day case management for residents who are transitioning from homelessness to safe, secure, long-term housing. The PSH CM is primarily responsible for assisting residents with their daily and ongoing needs, particularly with challenges that arise that may be related to severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders. Using Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Advanced Motivational Interviewing models of case management that are driven, solution-focused, and facilitate change and movement toward greater stability and well-being, the PSH CM will work with the residents to develop a list of key challenges, needs, and interests and then establish specific and measurable goals around them. The Case Manager coordinates the continuity of services for each resident on their caseload. This includes coordinating care planning, completing a comprehensive assessment of needs, developing a Case Management Plan, monitoring its effectiveness of, and ensuring resource linkage, referral, and advocacy.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* 2+ years of experience in social services case management
* High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human service field preferred
* Knowledge of HIPAA compliance when collecting and storing participant's information.
* Knowledge and ability to access entitlement programs, community, social, medical, mental, and chemical dependency services and/or education, job training, and employment services within ULMS and outside the organization as appropriate based on client(s) need.
* Knowledge and ability to successfully implement interviewing, counseling methods, principles, and techniques that result in measurable positive outcomes.
* Ability to analyze interventions for effectiveness, research and develop alternative interventions, and openly solicit supervisory guidance and input.
* Proven ability to maintain accurate, thorough, timely, and complete case files and ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally; Knowledge of electronic recordkeeping for client information.
* Ability to work with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
* Excellent documentation and time management skills
