Toolmaker III or IV - Mason, MI Assist die makers, leads, supervisors, and manager in day-to-day activities in the tool room, with a willingness to change priorities at any time. Performs scheduled and unscheduled tool and die making/repairs. Always working to improve dies to allow the plant to run as efficient as possible, and ensure we produce parts that meet the customer's specifications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock and fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, and gauges. * Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, radial drill press, and grinders, to machine parts to specifications, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications. * Lifts machined parts and positions and secures parts on surface plate or worktable. * Assembles and presets tooling for next operation during automated cycle to reduce machine downtime. * Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part. * Enter all time for the day into SAP * Installs and assembles hydraulic lines and hydraulic components. * Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances. Works to tolerances as close as zero. * Smooth flat and contoured surfaces and power grinders, and fits and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms. * Operate all cranes, hilo's, die cart, and any other equipment for working on dies or die setting assets. * Operation of manual machines, such as, mills, lathes, saws, and different grinders. * Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. * Plans layout and determines assembly method and sequence of operations. * Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining. * Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately. * Keep work area clean and orderly to prevent safety hazards. * Assure adherence to quality policies and procedures including acceptable work standards, customer specifications and IPI requirements, to also include participation in the creation and support of systems, documentation and actions to ensure continued conformance to Quality (IATF) and Environmental (ISO) management systems. * Observe and follow company policies and maintain proper standards of conduct at all times. * All other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values. Internal Audit is looking for a Lead IT Auditor to perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing support for the IT Audit Manager. Conducts IT audits and reports the results, provides recommendations, and supports financial audit teams. Contact Quality Inspector/Shift Supervisor if parts are found to be bad. Must understand all secondaries for new launch and current jobs. Proper reset method Assist with training of operators on all New Launch/current production jobs. Works with Operators on what is a good part and what is a bad part. Making sure that all operator instructions, packaging instructions, first shot and visual standard boards or pictures are at the press at the start of each shift. Including 6S requirements Verifies operator instructions/packaging instructions give clear direction. Verifies work cell layouts are set up correctly. Provide any feedback of improvements that can be made. Complete a detailed shift run down. Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Familiar with environmental plant postings. US Farathane is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager. Provide maintenance service for all departments within Port Huron Facility with a strong focus on preventative maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain electrical, hydraulic and mechanical functions of all major and auxiliary equipment to keep them in top level working condition. Keep all presses in running condition on a 24-hour per day basis. Submit requisitions for tools and supplies used in the production department after they are approved by the Plant Manager. Supervise picking up parts and supplies purchased locally using the company vehicle. Keep records of work to be done and categorized according to: projects, Saturday work, and short orders between mold changes. Personally make all contacts with salesmen, suppliers, and servicemen through any type of communication necessary. Initiate safety check program based on manufacturer's recommendations of all machinery and equipment and repair oil leaks as required. Initiate and maintain a rigid preventive maintenance program on all equipment and building functions based on manufacturer's recommendations. Preventive maintenance records shall be kept in categories of required time plans between checks: daily, weekly, bimonthly, semi-annually, and annually. Determine and maintain sufficient inventory of spare parts to insure minimum interruption to machinery and plant operation. Keep records of barrel and screw usage and identify problem areas on the records. Check dimensions and quality on all incoming screws and barrels. Maintain updated records of screw and barrel wear by machine. Continue to look at best in class, to reduce cost or repair Communication Skills: Attend monthly QOS meetings with Manufacturing Manager. Work with Plant Manager/Manufacturing Manager to schedule work to be done by maintenance crews on work days not scheduled for production. Be responsible for all building maintenance. All work to be done by outside sources is to have the Plant Manager's approval to authorize the work to be done. Perform electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic modifications on tools when required. When work load demands or during slow periods, and upon instructions from the Manufacturing Manager perform the duties of any position qualified for. A key role in management requires you to be an interface between management and the work force. Properly handled, this responsibility allows communications to flow freely both ways from the work force to management, as well as from management to the work force. You are required to keep these lines open by initiating appropriate communications with all co-worker's subordinates, colleagues, and high levels of management, and respond to all communications in a timely manner. Maintain unscheduled maintenance downtime below the expected goal as set forth by the Manufacturing Manager. Maintain computerized Maintenance Management Software on machine repairs and P/M. Quality Engineer - Junior is responsible for supporting the entire Quality System including Customer Contact, TS16949, PPAP, SPC, MSA, APQP, FMEA, QOS, 8D Problem Solving, Testing, Metrology, Layout functions, Travel to Customer and Continuous Improvement Efforts as well as all associated documentation. Essential Functions: Development and support of all APQP Documentation required for PPAP, PSO, etc. Ongoing testing of parts (Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.) Support run at rate activities. Create, update and maintain Quality Documentation, Customer Contact Reports, Customer Sort Reports, Information Relating to Concerns, Procedures, etc. Serve as focal point of contact for internal and external customers. Participate in / Initiate cross functional teams in the pursuit of problem solving and mistake proofing quality problems. Travel and provide support to customers to resolve problems. Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures. Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.). Maintain work area per housekeeping standards. Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Manager. Responsible for customer visits and customer programs cradle to grave. US Farathane is seeking an experienced Tool Room Associate C. Update and ensure preventative mold maintenance on all molds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Must be able to do full rotation. Other duties may be assigned. Load and unload trucks - have packing slip on all outgoing molds. Be on 24-hour call. Be able to trouble shoot electrical/hydraulic systems on molds. Review all new tools to Port Huron standard and document. Anything deemed necessary for the safe, efficient operation of the plant, including using or wearing all PPE including hard hat. It is the responsibility of all employees to take corrective action for all non-conforming items identified by the employee. Perform other duties as required for the safe, efficient operation of the plant and its employees. Perform other duties and responsibilities as they relate to overall efficiency Plant Operation. Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Familiar with environmental plant postings.
