Job Description Overview
Performs a variety of operations to assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies and sheet metal enclosures. Works with assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics to assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling on assembly units.

About the Role:

What You Will Do:

* Prepare mixtures of braze alloys and adhesives and apply to various assemblies prior to furnace brazing. Prepare and apply proper stop off
* Hand finish machined and other parts and assemblies to close tolerances, involving varied contours, holes, radii, angles and flanges using pneumatic pencil, bench and angle grinders
* Prepare surfaces of parts and assemblies prior to assembly. Includes cleaning, sanding, and masking
* Affix inserts and covers to segments by poke tacking, perform airflow testing of segments
* Identify materials, parts and assemblies as required
* Shipping and receiving of components to and from our customers and suppliers

About the Role
The entry level Assembler, both light assembly and heavy assembly, is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to assemble parts in the Containment department. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the department.
What You'll Do
Has working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the department.
Assembles containment doors, partitions, and other products per product specifications.
Detects faulty materials used to assemble parts and reports findings to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
