Pages clinic personnel as appropriate. Obtains and communicates messages in an accurate and timely manner. * Schedules patient referrals and returning patients in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel. * For new and or referred patients, sets patients up in system with appropriate documentation and coding. * Ensures all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained from patients and entered into the system in an accurate and timely manner. Registers patients in the system as necessary. * Obtains and enters all insurance authorization, and correspondence relating to referrals in patients charts and/or electronic medical records (EMR). * Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/practice. * Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office. Covers for other front office functions as requested. * Prepares correspondence, memos, forms and other typing as requested by supervisor. * May communicate to patient about tests being scheduled and potential prep work needed, inquiring about test specifics from necessary parties and gathering patient information as needed. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes - * Medical * Dental * Vision * Life Insurance * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Short-term and Long-term Disability Coverage * 401k plan with company contribution * Wellness program that rewards you practicing a healthy lifestyle * Tuition Reimbursement * Employee Assistance Program and Discount Program to some of your favorite retailers * Free Parking * Career Growth and Development * Supportive Team and Resources Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Implements financial policies and procedures as determined by upline management for areas including, but not necessarily limited to, general ledger, financial statements, workpapers and supporting documentation, and accounts receivable. * Prepares and supports journal entries for all non-system entries. * Participates in the completion of the Month End Close Checklist for all assigned action items to insure that the state meets all corporate timelines. * Maintains appropriate internal control safeguards over accounting functions. * Provides support to department managers, administration and physicians in the preparation, understanding and use of financial information. * Prepares the monthly reporting package and draft of the Management Discussion & Analysis document. * Analyzes all financial results and summarizes findings with recommendations when appropriate. * Supervises clerical staff as assigned. * Reviews payroll data and other analysis prepared by staff. * Performs EOB analysis as requested. * Reconciles all bank and intercompany accounts. * Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned. SALARY LEVEL: $130,000-$180,000 annually Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. * Minimum eight years of experience in fiscal management. * 3 years public accounting experience preferred. * Healthcare experience preferred. * CPA preferred.
