Texas Oncology is looking for a Data Coordinator to join our team! This full time position will support the North Austin location (12221 Renfert Way Suite 300 Austin, Texas 78758). This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.
This position will be either a level 1, 2 or Sr based on candidate experience.

What does the Data Coordinator do?
Under general supervision is responsible for the collection, coordination, processing and quality control of clinical trial data, maintaining research protocol and other research files as applicable. Works with clinical staff to meet data entry timelines and communicate any concerns about the data. Works in compliance with US Oncology Research (USOR) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all applicable federal state and local regulations. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):
* Extrapolate data from source records into case report forms for all patient visits and ensure timely data submission in accordance with USOR SOPs. Responsible for resolving queries, communicating concerns or questions about data to clinical staff and or research management.
* Utilizes USOR clinical trial management system to access research forms and keep current all applicable patient reporting and tracking functions including but not limited to subject CRF Binders/Folders. Maintains research records in a confidential manner according to practice policies sponsor confidentiality agreements, HIPAA guidelines and any other applicable regulations.
* Actively participates in sponsor monitoring and auditing visits, ensuring that all data and queries are entered and resolved in accordance with USOR and sponsor requirements.
* Assist with ordering and maintaining research supplies. Assist with scheduling patient follow up appointments and/or procedures required to maintain protocol compliance.
* Assist with collecting and processing of specimens, imaging documents, and other items required for research purposes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Data Coordinator position will have the following background and experience:
Level 1
* High School Diploma required.
* Associates Degree strongly desired; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
* 0-3 Years work experience.
* Some medical office experience required; preferably oncology.
* Experience with electronic databases and data entry preferred.
Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements)
* Minimum 3 years medical office experience (preferably oncology).
* Minimum 3 years as Data Coordinator required.
* SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred.
Level Sr (in addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements)
* Minimum 7 years as a Data Coordinator required.
* Medical terminology required.
* Medical office experience required preferably in oncology.

Texas Oncology is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist position. The successful candidate will be part of a physics group consisting of 13 physicists, 2 physics residents, a medical physics assistant, and 15 dosimetrists covering eight facilities in the Central Texas area. This group supports nine radiation oncologists in a busy practice setting. The position will primarily provide medical physics coverage for the South Austin Cancer Center, working with two other onsite physicists, three dosimetrists, seven therapists, and two radiation oncologists.

What does the position do?
Supervises the day to day revenue cycle operations in order to maximize the collection of medical services payments and reimbursements from patients, insurance carriers, financial aide, and guarantors. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities:
* Supervises the daily business functions of the patient visit from point of entry to accurate adjudication of the patients' accounts. Scope of responsibilities includes appointment scheduling, insurance eligibility processes; charge processing; claim submission and processing; payment processing; collections and accounts receivable management; denial management; reporting of results and analysis; concurrent and retrospective auditing; proper coding; credentialing; customer services relative to revenue cycle; training and development relative to revenue cycle; analytics, and all other revenue cycle management activities. * Monthly, prepares revenue cycle financial analysis, including aged accounts. Cascades goals down to staffs annual objectives.
* Champions new initiatives; acts as a catalyst of change and stimulates others to change; paves the way for needed changes; manages implementation effectively. Steps forward to address difficult issues; puts self on the line to deal with important problems; takes ownership and accountability.
* Develops, implements, and maintains the Practice's revenue cycle training materials. Conducts training of SOPs, systems, metrics, government regulations, and etc.
* Responsible for the overall coordination of front office duties to include scheduling, check-in, and co-pay/co-insurance collection.
* Attracts high caliber people, accurately assesses strengths and development needs of employees; provides timely, specific feedback and helpful coaching; provides challenging assignments and opportunities for development. Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:
* Associates degree in Finance, Business or equivalent OR four years revenue cycle experience required.
* At least four (4) years of medical revenue cycle work experience required with a consistent track record of achieving metrics.
* Two years experience managing, delegating, and following up on work priorities of others is strongly desired.
* Individual must have strong knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections with CPT, ICD9, and HCPC coding and medical terminology, as well as an overall understanding of managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc).

What does the Admixture Technician do? (including by not limited to)
Under direct supervision of a physician working within a clinic admixture room, performs the technical, nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation. Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
* Prepares and dispenses medication orders. Maintains and evaluates patient profile and comprehensive drug data file to evaluate orders for any incompatibilities.
* Checks all orders for completeness of information. Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization. Checks all orders for insurance approval before admixing.
* Admixes drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner as per department guidelines, and preparing all drugs within OSHA guidelines and interoffice guidelines.
* Ensures correct preparation of all formulas or medications. Checks all prescriptions for completeness. Calculates correct dosages, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
* Organizes and directs technician's workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and patients.
* Provides and documents drug counseling to all patients. Ensures all legal and professional requirements are adhered to, including controlled substances. Consults with patients to determine pre-existing conditions to assess medication compatibility.
* Instructs patients on effects of food and alcohol intake. Warns of potential side effects. Provides professional drug information and assistance to medical staff.
* Participates in pharmacy teaching and in-service programs. Properly disposes all materials used when mixing chemo or non-chemo IVs. Cleans hood daily and in between I.V. admixturing.
* Logs and dates all drugs that are being used. Checks drugs monthly for outdates. Keeps accurate temperature logs.
* Keeps accurate logs on all protocol drugs and patient assistance drugs. Assists with inventory control of medications. Orders supplies and medications. Receives and shelves medications.
* Ensures that standard drug supplies are in adequate supply in all departments. Prepares labels. Files and prepares billing. Computes prices.
* Receives new drug education from drug representatives; remains abreast of new information. Maintains confidentially of all information related to patients and medical staff.
* Prepares reports and monitoring activities as directed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Pharmacist position will have the following background and experience:
Level 1
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and current state licensure.
* Position is entry level and requires 0-3 years experience as a registered pharmacist.
* Oncology background preferred.
* Current license as a Pharmacist in state of practice.
* May supervise the activities of pharmacy technicians.
Level 2 (including Level 1 requirements)
* Minimum three years of experience as a registered pharmacist.
* Prefer three years of experience in a pharmacy with I.V. skills.
