What does the Advanced Practice Provider do? (including but not limited to) Under supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, involved in the care of individuals, families and patient groups who are dealing with cancer or other related diagnosis. This care may be in clinic or virtually, via telemedicine. Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, patient care, management, and research. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, patient educator, administrator, or researcher. Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to) * Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients. * Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated. * Performs procedures after appropriate training. * Assesses patient/family needs and provides education. * Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. * Incorporates the developing knowledge of evidence-based research into clinical practice. * Developing knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements. * Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion. * May provide case management for patients and their families, given limited knowledge of community resources. * May promote/provide staff education * Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Level I is entry-level and typically requires a minimum of zero (0) to three (3) years of experience. Level II requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience. Level Senior requires six (6) years of experience. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. Current basic life support BLS certification required. OR Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. Level I is entry-level and typically requires zero (0) to three (3) years of experience. Level II requires three (3) years of experience. Level Senior requires six (6) years of experience. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support BLS certification required. What does the Pharmacy/Admixture Technician do? (including but not limited to) The Pharmacy Admixture Tech, under the direct supervision of a physician or registered pharmacist working within a clinic admixture room or licensed pharmacy, the Admixture Tech /Pharmacy Tech performs technical, non-judgmental aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping, and inventory control. Keeps accurate logs on all protocol drugs and patient assistance drugs. * Maintains proper control documentation of medications, including lot numbers and all other quality assurance activities. * Complete inventory control of medications. Orders supplies and medications. Receives and shelves medications. Ensures that standard drug supplies are in adequate supply in all departments. * Prepares labels. Files and prepares billing. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: Level I * High School diploma or equivalent. * Entry level to three (3) years experience in a pharmacy. Level II (in addition to Level I requirements) * Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience in a pharmacy with I.V. skills. * IV certification strongly preferred. * Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended. What does the Pharmacy/Admixture Technician do?
