I was working on a contractor bases for CVS/Caremark Specialty Prior Authorization Clinical Pharmacist. I loved learning something new every day as well as perfecting my ability to scan large amounts of clinical chart notes to extract the necessary information needed for approval per the Criteria requirements from each individual Medicare based insurance company.
My contact was extended 5 times but there was always a chance that it wouldn’t be extended. I had never been in that situation before without job security.
Working from home was a terrific benefit. I have a large home and am fortunate to be able to dedicate a room specifically for my office. Also, my supervisor was absolutely outstanding.
