The Branch Fleet Technician will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment and hydrovac operation by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary adjustments and alignments. Corrects vehicle deficiencies and keeps accurate records with guidance and direction. Manages work orders in Fleetio to ensure comprehensive documentation and tracking. What You'll Be Doing: • Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of assigned vehicles and equipment and preventative maintenance such as oil changes and greasing of trucks. • Conducts safety checks on trucks. • Maintains a clear line of communication to the Branch Manager and Regional Fleet Staff and other staff in the maintenance department. • Keeps the Hydrovac Fleet operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications. • Occasionally may perform service calls for emergency breakdowns. • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established procedures. What We're Looking For: • Education: High School Diploma. • Licensed Heavy Duty Technician. • Driver's License required; Class B CDL license is preferred. • Demands include frequent sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, and reaching. Employees must also crawl under vehicles, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, stand or kneel on cement floors, and regularly lift or move heavy objects such as tires, rims, and brake drums. • Regularly required to lift or move objects weighing 25 to 50 lbs, with moderate grasping, lifting, pushing, and pulling of these objects. • Work may require more than 40 hours per week. The Utility Arborist Technician position will support the Transmission Vegetation Management team and will be responsible for inspecting span to span GPC's transmission system to identify and document vegetation-related hazards. What You Will Do: · Transports trash, bio-hazard waste, material for recycling and/or soiled linen from collection points to designated disposal or holding points. · Ensure the safe, timely, courteous transportation of linen as scheduled. · Follows safety and infection control practices when\: handling and disposing of regular and medical waste; practicing proper hand hygiene techniques; demonstrating use of proper PPE when handling or transporting waste; using standard and isolation precautions as required. · Moves furniture, files, adn other items. Sets tables, chairs, and equipment up for a variety of functions. · Adhere to all departmental and corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
