Position Summary:
The Social Media Coordinator will be charged with managing a number of different social media profiles and executing the marketing strategy. The successful candidate will develop and maintain but not limited to blogs, video feeds, trending social networking sites and resource centers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accurately and efficiently reviews and/or administers daily prescribed Radiation Therapy treatments to patients assigned to the treatment unit at a speed consistent with patient scheduling.
Observes and adheres to all department policies concerning Radiation Therapy treatment procedures.
Prepares room and equipment for patient by gathering all necessary equipment, supplies, and setup devices.
Sets appropriate treatment unit parameters.
Activates the treatment unit and delivers the prescribed dose of radiation.
Maintains visual and/or audible communication with the patient during treatment.
Obtains appropriate port films on patients when prescribed; makes adjustments in field placement as needed.
Throughout the course of Radiation Therapy, monitors patients for unusual reactions and events, and reports same to Clinical Director and Radiation Oncologist.
Keeps immobilization devices in a clean and orderly manner and utilize the devices as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
Maintains current knowledge of therapeutic procedures performed in the Radiation Oncology Department.
Possesses basic knowledge of Radiation Oncology equipment function to provide for minor repair and troubleshooting for problems; water and gas levels, laser alignment, etc.
Proficient in the utilization of all Radiation Oncology equipment in the department including CT(s).
Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in moving/lifting patients and equipment to prevent injury to patients and to self.
Applies safety principles in the performance of position responsibilities.
Records Radiation Oncology charges as procedures are performed.
Keeps records of machine down time and maintains machine fault list report.
Assists her Supervisor in placing and scheduling service calls.
Ensures proper hand off of responsibilities once their task is completed.
Ensuring that all medical records are accurate and complete within the system for all patients.
Performs other position related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
* Triage Phone Response: Manages patient health concerns and symptoms via a telephone interaction utilizing physician-approved protocols for the assessment and management of a range of symptoms. These telephone interactions require assessment, patient education and may require crisis intervention. Responds to and prioritizes incoming patient messages and test results. Schedules appointments as needed. May schedule tests and procedures and obtain insurance prior-authorization. Responsible for reviewing and authorizing/denying provider ordered prescriptions in accordance with established guidelines. Delivers patient education, according to the individualized needs of the patient and as prescribed by the Provider and/or Group policy. Educates patient and/or family members about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness. Responds to patient questions and appropriately provides reassurance while responding to patient concerns. The RN can assess the patient's medical condition and provide medical advice using Duly Health and Care protocols, Provider directive or an approved Nursing Triage Manual.
* Patient Documentation: Maintains accurate and detailed patient records and pertinent information; posts tests and documents patient education provided. Enters all pertinent communications with the patient into the Medical Record.
* Clinical Resource for Staff: Performs and delegates a variety of tasks to facilitate patient care. Aware of coding and reimbursement issues. Available to other office clinical and non-clinical staff to answer questions and provide assistance as appropriate. Assists in orienting and training new staff. Seeks opportunities to improve or enhance nursing and leadership skills.
* Other Duties as Assigned: Utilizes current nursing practices to provide patient care while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying service excellence, care, concern, respect and cooperation. As a member of a health care team, functions in the role of patient advocate by being in the position of initial contact for patient-related issues. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Current RN licensure in nursing.
* Knowledge of nursing skills in accordance with nursing standards in the Nurse Practice Act.
