Graphic Designer
User experience designer job in Baton Rouge, LA
Job DescriptionAbout the Role
Gatorworks is looking for a Graphic Designer who can think strategically, move fast, and make brands look good while making ads work.
Your world will be a mix of social campaigns, targeted display ads, email design, creative strategy, logo/branding, print, and some web work - in that order. You'll concept, design, and refine visuals that grab attention and drive results.
If you love taking ideas from “meh” to “that's it,” and can turn a creative brief into something scroll-stopping, we should talk.
This is a hybrid position. Must be available to be in office 3 days a week.
What You'll Do
Design social ad campaigns and targeted display ads that perform - and look good doing it.
Build out email campaigns, graphics, and visuals that bring digital strategy to life.
Collaborate with the Creative Director and strategy team to concept creative that aligns with brand goals.
Develop logo and brand systems that actually mean something - not just look trendy.
Translate creative strategy into eye-catching print and digital collateral.
Work within brand standards (or help build them) across multiple clients and industries.
Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay organized without losing your creative spark.
Take feedback well, push ideas further, and make every project better than the last.
Occasionally work on website design and know the ins and outs of user experience.
What You Bring
3+ years of design experience - preferably in an agency or fast-paced creative environment.
Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Familiarity with Figma or other prototyping tools.
A solid understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and composition.
Comfort working across digital and print - you know your file types and color profiles cold.
Curiosity for what's next in design, advertising, and marketing.
Strong communication skills - you can explain your design thinking clearly.
Self-motivation, accountability, and respect for deadlines.
Bonus points for:
Motion design or animation chops.
Experience with HTML emails, display ad platforms, or banner systems.
A sharp sense of humor (it'll fit right in here).
What You'll Get
Competitive pay and full benefits, including health, dental, and vision.
401(k) with company match.
Paid vacation and holidays.
Paid day of service and matching donations to a non-profit you choose.
Work-life balance that's actually balanced.
Regular team outings and a creative culture that's collaborative, not corporate.
A modern office space in Baton Rouge - and yes, we like it here.
Hybrid work schedule.
