    Piping Designer II Company: CDI Engineering Solutions Develop PMCD's and/or P&ID's for the Utilities area compressor. Work will include required field work to reverse existing engineer piping systems though field sketches to produce record documents for Client. Job Responsibilities: Develop field sketches and PMCD layouts. Communicate within assigned discipline and coordinate work with other disciplines. Demonstrate a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities, and implemented in work designed. Mark up works in progress for others to draft (or CADD). Perform related fundamental engineering support tasks such as line list and pulling of existing client engineering mechanical and process data. Produce PMCD/P&ID layouts to be drafted by in-house team. Job Qualifications: High school education or equivalent with basic drafting courses training from vo-tech or other applicable program with a minimum of seven years of technical work experience. As an alternative, a minimum of two years of education in an associate or bachelor's degree program for the relevant discipline and five years of experience. Knowledge of Mechanical and Controls is also needed to properly represent required work scope. Competent and experienced with design codes, specifications, and standards. Must demonstrate a sound understanding of design concepts with minimum engineering input. Knowledge of PMCD/P&ID development. 5 years min. as a Piping Designer, in plant experience is not required but extensive field knowledge is a must.
