Requirements The successful candidate's most important qualifications include the following. Minimum of two years of experience in the design, operation, or maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 35 kV). Prior utility design experience or distribution line work would be highly preferred. Possess knowledge of overhead and underground electric distribution systems, subdivisions, industrial complexes, data centers and dual power feeds. Associate degree in electrical technology or related field from an accredited college or university. Other education and work experience may be considered acceptable for this position. Possess experience in creating construction drawings for electric distribution design. Knowledge of permits which are required for electric distribution installations. Shall have a working knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters in one or more of the following areas: Utility Electrical Engineering and electric utility construction knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD.
