TOTAL COMPENSATION
Base salary is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and varies based on Launch Potato's Levels Framework. Your compensation package includes a base salary, profit-sharing bonus, and competitive benefits. The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software UX & Product Design (Senior or Lead) to support our Data Analytics and System Health (DASH) team located in Hazelwood, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering Organization.
As the Software UX (UserExperience) and Product Design (Senior or Lead), you will provide technical leadership and product direction to the software development team by guiding the end-to-end userexperience strategy across the DASH product line. You will work with Product Managers to translate a Product strategy into prioritized UX work through roadmap development, success-metrics formalization, and solution validation to ensure business objectives and user needs are met. You will serve as an integral bridge between design execution and product strategy by leading user research, defining UX strategy, presenting to stakeholders, and ensuring the software team delivers a consistent, user-centered approach with measurable outcomes.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the UX and user-centered design process for data analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals
Lead user research, interviews, usability testing, and qualitative/quantitative research through behavioral analytics and telemetry metrics to gather insights that inform design decisions
Develop, maintain, and lead a product design framework through Figma libraries, component patterns, and documentation to enforce consistent, accessible, and reusable UIs across the portfolio
Create specific high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes using Figma or equivalent design tools for product design
Develop design specifications and guidelines to ensure consistency across products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate user-centered requirements and user feedback into the development lifecycle
Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design decisions
Develop user documentation and training materials to support product launches
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members by fostering a culture of design thinking within the team
Stay up to date on emerging technology and market trends in the domain of data analytics and AI/ML enabled software solutions
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
9+ years of related work experience in software system design
5+ years of experience in UX/UI design in Figma or equivalent interface design tool
Demonstrated leadership in full lifecycle product design from research to usability testing
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or equivalent experience
