Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Lead UX research efforts for complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple products or business units. Develop long-term research roadmaps aligned with company goals.
Research Execution: Design, plan, and conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., ethnographic studies, usability testing, surveys, diary studies, field research, etc.) to deeply understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
Establish Research Guidelines: enable team of product and UX leaders through UX research tool kits, standards, guides.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Data Science teams to integrate research findings into product planning and decision-making.
Insight Communication: Deliver compelling insights through reports, presentations, and storytelling that inspire product innovation and support executive-level decisions.
Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor junior researchers and help establish best practices and research standards across the UX organization.
Vendor Management: contract with and manage required vendors and tools to enable UX research across the TEGNA digital ecosystem.
Thought Leadership: Represent the UX discipline in strategic conversations, contribute to the UX research community, and advocate for a user-centered culture.
Requirements:
8-10 years of experience in UX research, human-centered design, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience leading research for complex, large-scale digital products.
Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Proven ability to turn ambiguous questions into clear research plans.
Exceptional communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills.
Experience influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Master's or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or related field (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in agile, fast-paced product environments.

Pay Range $180,000-$190,000 USDBenefits:

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Biomanufacturing Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Execute and optimize protocols for the preparation of microbially-produced biomaterials at up to 25L fermentation scales.
* Plan and execute workflows for microbial cultivation at varying culture scales and forms using sterile techniques in up to a BSL2 laboratory setting, followed by the recovery and purification of the biomaterial product.
* Conduct biomaterial post-processing and characterization steps, which may require coordinating with facility personnel.
* Conduct experiments to understand biological behavior.
* Design and execute experiments that implement various techniques for direct and indirect observation of microbial behavior, particularly biomaterial production and properties, and harnessing behavior for precision material assembly.
* Experiments may use microscopy, fluorescence analysis via multi-well plate reader or flow cytometry, and enzymatic or molecular assays.
* Agents for the functionalization, immobilization, fixation, or entrapment of cells or biomaterial product may be required within the experiments to advance the research goals.
* Set up and maintain microbial cultures in specified environments and scales using sterile technique, autoclaving equipment, nutrient broth and agar plate preparation, inoculation, culture management, biohazardous waste disposal, and preparation of frozen stocks.
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records to execute production processes
* Preparation and safe handling of hazardous chemicals that may have corrosivity, flammability, and toxicity risks, including liquids with acidic and alkaline pH, organic solvents, and others.
* Use of equipment for materials processing (freeze-drying, other) and analytical instrumentation (FTIR, SEM, other).
* Optimize protocols that use microbes in combination with material or chemical agents for their functionalization, fixation, immobilization, or entrapment.

The Mandarin Publicly Available Information (PAI) Research and Translation analyst will discover, collect, and translate target language PAI pertaining to science and technology (S&T) topics of strategic significance. You will focus specifically on S&T topics and associated document translation, as prioritized by ONI.
Responsibilities
+ Translate publications in target language and other publicly available information while ensuring that the translated material maintains a logical and appropriate flow.
+ Perform first line analysis on findings that are in line with ONI priorities in a format that is identified by the Government customer.
+ Maintain production pace of 1 to 4 pages per business day.
+ Create and maintain list of S&T-related native language terms.
+ Perform cross-domain transfer of documents to destination location determined by Government.
+ Perform routine research to in efforts to discover new information sources.
+ Develop a queue and establish a schedule to perform regular searches on items identified in the queue.
+ Perform ad-hoc research in efforts to identify new organizations, entities, topics, and other information of interest.
+ Create and maintain a system to document and track reports/resources for discovery by ONI analysts and attend bi-monthly meetings with Government lead to discuss.
+ Develop system to track requests-for-information (RFIs) and document updates/progress. Attend bi-monthly meetings with Government lead to discuss.
+ Perform and / or be subject to quality control (QC) reviews of translated material.
+ Attend production and workgroup meetings, as required.
Qualifications
+ Education / Certifications:
+ Must have and maintain Mandarin language proficiency as verified by at least a 2.0 rating on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale and must have a current (within the last year) test score to validate this rating (equivalent Defense Language Proficiency Test score is acceptable).
+ Experience:
+ Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and translate S&T lexicon in the target language.
+ Demonstrated experience using managed attribution systems/programs to perform safe open source research while applying Open Source Tradecraft.
+ Demonstrated excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
+ Demonstrated clear written, and oral communications skills.
+ Minimum one year of experience using Microsoft Office software programs.
+ Skills & Technology Used:
+ Familiarity with managed attribution systems, unclassified, and classified resources for research.
+ Microsoft Office Suite software programs.
