Senior User Experience Researcher
Adpcareers
User experience researcher job in Roseland, NJ
ADP is hiring a Senior UX Researcher.
Join the team building ADP's next-generation SMB HCM/Payroll platform. In this role, you will focus on the excellence of the craft of UX research: mastering the mechanics, logistics, the selection and application of the right research methodologies to the given SDLC context, to help guide product decisions with unambiguous evidence. You will be relied on for rigor, reliability, clear, actionable synthesis, and persuasive story-telling with various groups of teammates, partners, and leaders.
You will work in continuous partnership with Product, UX, and Engineering, conducting generative and evaluative research, from planning to practical work to sharing insights. You will exercise a wide range of methodologies, onboarding feedback from peers and leaders during the ideation and prep phases - sometimes while running concurrent live studies - all in service of revealing market/user truth with precision and unassailability.
What you'll do:
Execute moderate to complex UX research studies end-to-end: collaborating on framing, methodologies selection and iteration, screening/recruitment, fielding, cataloging findings, and synthesizing findings.
Match the method to the context: select and apply appropriate qualitative/quantitative/generative/evaluative techniques based on the SDLC phase and stakeholder needs, expanding your repertoire of methodologies based on emerging new standards and best practices, as well as new technologies.
Handle executional logistics with minimal oversight (e.g., consent procedures, data management, scheduling, post-study documentation and incentive reimbursements).
Author clear, defensible, actionable research artifacts. Findings must stand up to critique from design, PM, engineering audiences, business partners, and stakeholders.
Participate in research planning and retros, proposing process improvements and adapting as project/product/organizational context shifts
Coordinate research initiatives with Product and UXR team members.
Uphold methodological rigor: document and share approach, rationale, and assumptions for audit/retro/learning reuse.
Contribute to leveling up the team's best practices and standards.
