    Role Overview: As a Lead Experience Researcher for Deloitte DT-US Product Engineering team, you will work with a creative group in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strategically design, plan, and execute user research studies and analyze behavioral metrics to paint a complete picture of our users to drive design decisions and user experience priorities. Recruiting for this role ends on March 31, 2026 Key Responsibilities: + Define research strategy, design, and execute research studies effectively + Provide user research expertise and execution across products in a cross-functional environment. + Develop appropriate research methodologies and test plans for products, employing innovative approaches that are the best fit for individual products or areas + Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to generate actionable insights across the product development lifecycle, from generative research to identify new opportunities, iterative concept evaluation, and post-launch testing + Conduct internal cross-functional workshops using design-thinking methodologies to drive collaboration + Synthesizes research results into usable assets such as user personas, and translates research results into valuable and delightful design opportunities + Collaborate with empowered product teams to define success metrics from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives, aligning research with business goals + Connects the entire product team with users through communication of user research results in an easily consumable way tied to user outcomes + Develop a systematic approach to collecting, sharing, and communicating research insights with product teams to inform design improvements + Use research insights to inform product strategy and uncover new opportunities based on user needs. + Advocate for research findings in a compelling way that inspires action across teams. + Work closely with UX designers to translate research findings into actionable design recommendations and stay embedded to support their implementation. + Partner with empowered product teams to prioritize and identify key research topics. + Stay up to date on UX, user research, and behavioral analytics trends, best practices, and methodologies. + Create regular summary dashboards to share key research findings and insights with management teams. + Exhibit expertise in driving the data strategy across multiple listening channels, such as usage metrics, surveys, and usability testing. + Respond to ad hoc requests for metrics to guide design and product decisions. + Regularly provide insights to designers and empowered product teams on key behavioral metrics, such as tool usage, search behavior, feature engagement, user demographics, and pathway analysis. + Spreads knowledge, practices, and improvements in experience vertical community of practice. Stays current with trends in UX. Required Qualifications: + 5+ years of conducting comprehensive User Research across multiple methodologies, driving actionable insights that shape product development and customer success. + 5+ years working with a various user research methodologies including focus groups, ethnography, concept validation, usability testing, card sorting, surveys, mobile testing, etc. + Master of User Research craft, recognized for expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and for fostering a culture of learning and innovation. + Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, or a related field; PhD or other advanced degree preferred. + Limited immigration sponsorship may be available + Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Preferred: + Effective mentor, building impactful relationships with junior researchers and cross-functional teams, while guiding their professional growth. + Expert analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical methods, and the creation of metrics dashboards. + Proficient in using research insights to advocate for a customer-focused and product-driven mindset. + Highly experienced in developing creative, strategic research plans that seamlessly connect big-picture thinking with detailed execution. + Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and influence decisions across all levels of the organization. + Inspirational player-coach, capable of leading research efforts for large teams or independently driving research initiatives for specific products. + Adept at conducting rapid, iterative research to inform product decisions and identify simple solutions to complex problems. + Humble, curious, and learning-forward, embracing an iterative approach to research that favors action, learning, and adaptation. Conducts cross-functional workshops. * Bring your expertise in the Experience craft to the cross functional product team, think deeply about complex experience challenges, and propose effective and elegant solutions * Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features * Develop new approaches to complex design problems and convey these designs in the form of presentations, mockups, and click-thru prototypes that bring your vision to life * Create strategic big-picture workflows as well as execute detailed visual & interaction design * Partner with user researchers and influence insight studies related to the discovery and understanding of unresolved interface problems and product design opportunities * Design and deliver all UX assets including initial concept designs, user flows, wireframes, usage scenarios, user journeys, mockups, etc that support intuitive and seamless user interactions * Understand business priorities together with user needs to create impactful experiences * Collaborates with business stakeholders, engineering, product, and delivery to emerge solutions to achieve strategy objectives and KPI outcomes * Contribute to the overall design framework, ensuring consistent design language and experiences across the product suite, and a library of design assets for reusability and efficiency. * Actively engage in hands-on Experience craft modeling by deep participation in projects * Conduct heuristic evaluations of existing products to identify areas for improvement. * Uphold high standards of user-centered design, iterating quickly and testing designs to enhance usability and consistency across touchpoints. * Continuously challenge design effectiveness, monitor behavioral analytics, and suggest improvements to optimize user experiences. * Operate effectively in both collaborative environments with other UX designers and autonomously when acting as the sole UX designer on a product squad. * Spreads knowledge, practices, and improvements in experience vertical community of practice. Stays current with trends in UX. * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available * Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Key Qualifications: * 8+ years as an interaction or product designer with a strong track record of crafting intuitive user interfaces that engage and delight users. * Highly experienced in Design Thinking, Lean UX, and iteratively evolving designs based on continuous user testing. * Enjoys operating in a Product-led approach, as a member of an empowered cross-functional product squad, that moves quickly and dynamically to meet user needs and deliver business impact * Deep understanding of interactive design principles, consistently delivering simple, elegant, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces rooted in usability and accessibility. * Extensive experience in designing for both desktop and mobile platforms, with a focus on responsive and adaptive design that enhances the user experience across devices. * Driven by a passion for solving user pain points, leveraging design thinking and user feedback to create optimized and valuable experiences. * Highly creative and analytical, able to navigate between strategic vision and hands-on execution, ensuring solutions are innovative and functional. * Collaborative and open-minded, eager to contribute to team success while continuously learning and iterating on designs based on feedback. * Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, iterating quickly to incorporate feedback and improve outcomes. * Deeply passionate about UX and innovation, constantly exploring new design trends and methodologies. * Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, equally at ease speaking with development teams or executives when articulating and advocating design concepts and rationale, negotiating and influencing to build consensus * Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently to meet deadlines. * Expert in industry-standard UX tools, including Sketch, Adobe CC, Figma, Axure, InVision, UXPin, and Balsamiq, ensuring efficient design workflows. * Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field.
