Department Overview Our Experience Design & Research team is a multidisciplinary group of UX/CX Designers, User Researchers, and Behavioural Scientists. As the team expands its measurement and evaluative research capabilities, we are seeking a Senior UX Researcher with a strong mixed-methods (with a quant emphasis) background to establish best practices, deliver impactful insights, and raise research maturity across our portfolio Job Description This is a unique opportunity to lead evaluative and measurement-focused UX research within mission-critical environments. You will design and execute studies that demonstrate the impact of research on product, design, and business outcomes, while shaping how behavioral insights inform strategy. What You'll Do * Establish a UX Metrics Practice: Define, implement, and own the key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for user experience. This includes establishing frameworks for measuring usability, satisfaction (e.g., SUS, CSAT), and task success. * Lead Quantitative Research: Design, launch, and analyze large-scale quantitative research studies, including surveys, A/B tests, and behavioral data analysis from product analytics platforms. * Champion Qualitative Rigor: Lead and execute foundational and evaluative qualitative research, including in-depth interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing. * Synthesize and Triangulate: Masterfully weave together quantitative and qualitative data to create a holistic, comprehensive understanding of our users. What We're Looking For * Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience conducting research in large matrixed organizations and complex product structures, with at least 2 years of experience managing junior to mid-level researchers. * Education: Masters Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, or a related field. * Scaling Metrics and Driving Change: Expert at establishing and scaling a company-wide metrics practice. You have a clear history of leveraging experience metrics to define product success and deliver measurable, user-centric improvements. * Quantifying Research ROI: Proven expertise in defining and tracking the business impact of a UX Research team. You consistently link changes in user metrics (behavior, satisfaction) directly to measurable financial or strategic returns, making the value of research undeniable. * Technical Expertise: Expert in utilizing both behavioral and attitudinal data to extract insights. Proficient in experimental design, survey methodology, and advanced statistical analysis. Expert with tools like Pendo and Qualtrics . Experience with data manipulation (SQL, Python) or statistical software (R, SPSS) is a plus. * In-Person Research Expertise: Proven experience planning, recruiting for, and conducting a range of in-person research, including ethnographic-style fieldwork, contextual inquiries in users' natural environments, and on-site usability testing. * Mixed-Methods Portfolio: A portfolio of work that showcases your ability to integrate diverse data sources to answer complex research questions and drive impact. * Strategic Thinker & Self Starter: You don't just answer the questions you're given; you identify the right questions to ask to move the business forward.
