* 4+ years UX research experience.

The Role
We're looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the user experience and UI design of AscentAI's global SaaS platform. You'll collaborate closely with product and technical teams to conduct user research, design highly usable software products, and deliver best-in-class user experiences.
You'll also serve as a user and UX/UI expert for stakeholders in product, engineering, data science, regulatory intelligence, sales, and customer support. This is a high-impact role with real ownership and visibility, offering the opportunity to influence product and business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Identify target user groups and conduct user research to help identify, clarify, and understand user needs (functional, emotional, and behavioral)
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to design highly usable software solutions solving real customer needs
Manage UX/UI Design Discovery, utilizing current industry best practices and user testing methods
Produce design artifacts including wireframes, UI designs, and interactive mock-ups, and manage Design Discovery to test, validate, and iterate on product features, user journeys, interactions, and user-interfaces
Conduct design reviews with software engineering teams and provide UI specification and testing for all user-interface features
Work closely with product leadership to incorporate user research and validation into AscentAI's product vision, strategy, roadmap, and development
Serve as an expert on user personas, needs, behaviors, motivations, and goals to product leadership and other stakeholders

Experience using industry tools to create UI designs and interactive mock-ups

Knowledge of human-centered designed, IDEO design thinking, SVPG's “product operating model”, and/or modern agile software development practices is a strong plus
Understanding of or industry experience in Compliance, Risk and/or Legal is a plus

(Chicago/Hybrid) The position of Prospect Research is to research and analyze information on current and prospective Fellowship donors and prepare detailed reports for development officers to assist in the cultivation of donors. This position reports directly to the Prospect Research & Budget Manager and is based in our Chicago headquarters.
We are seeking an individual with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of one to three years of experience as a prospect researcher within a non-profit organization, or comparable experience in non-profit development or a related field, is required. Demonstrated skills in all phases of donor research involving fee and non-fee Internet based research sources such as LexisNexis, DonorSearch, and Salesforce is preferred. Demonstrated analytical and investigative skills are preferred. Individuals with experience in biographical or genealogical research and or data management or demonstrated proficiency in a related field such as history, library science or genealogy is preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
Donor Research and Reporting:
Conduct in-depth research of current and prospective donors determining their propensity and capacity to give major or planned gifts.
Utilize appropriate software and Internet based resources for research.
Prepare detailed analysis and reports on donor profiles to support development officers' cultivation efforts.
Prepare detailed briefings for management and giving officers upon request.
Database Management:
Record prospect research information on donor database.
Trend Analysis:
Providing ongoing assessment of research methods, goals and strategies.
Keep abreast of trends in prospect research through training, reading industry publications, etc.
Standard Operating Procedures:
Develop and implement standardized, analytical approaches to prospect research rating systems.
Technical & Individual Skills:
Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Intermediate level proficiency in Internet research methodology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express self effectively and concisely.
Excellent customer service skills necessary to professionally and effectively interact with staff, management and donors.
Strong organization skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks or projects with competing deadlines.
Must be self-motivated, and proactive with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Knowledge of donor types and an understanding of fundraising processes, or cycles of engagement: identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; or a desire to learn this process.
Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential donor and prospect information.
