Sourcing Analytical Intern
Role Description:
USG Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the procurement of raw materials and goods & services that contribute to the manufacturing of our products. Within the Sourcing group, the Procurement Excellence team strives to equip the Sourcing group with the policies, procedures, tools, and assistance needed to accomplish their strategic goals.
The Sourcing Analytical Intern will work within the Procurement Excellence team to support procurement initiatives and provide crucial insights. The primary objective of the internship will be to support cost savings and efficiency opportunities through data and process improvement. Your activities may include:
•Reviewing purchase data to categorize spending, identify top suppliers and commodity categories, analyze trends overtime, etc.
•Validating sourcing reports and providing feedback.
•Running data analysis to identify reporting and efficiency opportunities to create and expand KPI metric development.
•Executing procurement excellence operations using USG's Oracle ERP system, reporting tools, and other job-related solutions.
•Creating and updating procurement manuals, purchasing policies, or training documentation.
•Working closely with Sourcing Process Intern on process corrections through data.
Qualifications & Requirements:
•Currently enrolled in a degree program at a recognized university in Supply Chain or related disciplines.
•Ability to work in a high pace environment.
•Strong experience with Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis.
•Good written and oral communication skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills.
•PowerBI, Tableau, or other reporting experience is welcomed.
This is in-person position: Monday - Thursday in the office; Fridays - work from home.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Position Description
Job Summary:
Peckham's paid Internship Program is designed to add practical, relevant experience to your field of study while welcoming you into our family by choice culture. As a Quality Control Intern, you will assist and support our Quality Control Team with essential projects, while gaining invaluable experience for your future career. Key projects and tasks include but are not limited to: benchmarking PEM mix designs and cataloging online database. The Quality Control Intern will actively contribute to the implementation and improvement of our quality control procedures, ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction materials. This role provides exposure to various aspects of quality management within a dynamic construction environment.
The Quality Control Intern is a team member who guarantees continuous production and ensures our hot mix asphalt, liquid asphalt, cold mix asphalt, crushed stone, sand, and gravel are consistent with State, Federal and local specifications.

Our externship rotations are designed to allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice the problem-solving, technical and communication skills that they have acquired during their clinical preparation. Externs experience the typical caseload of a small animal practice. Program Structure:

Summer Internship Project Overview:
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving data-driven decision-making by designing and developing Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL) processes for integrating new data sources into our National Planning Data Warehouse and/or Fabric platform. Potential data sources may include EAM, PeopleNet, PALS, or OBIEE, offering you the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise in handling diverse systems. Additionally, you'll provide support for existing data sources, troubleshooting and resolving defects in current logic to ensure data quality and reliability. You'll also dive into the creation of reporting solutions, utilizing Power BI or custom web applications to deliver actionable insights that empower teams across the organization.
