When the 1985 Plaza Accord brought about appreciation of the yen and depreciation of the United States dollar, Ushio immediately began internationalizing its production, launching new factories one after another in Hong Kong, the United States, the Netherlands, and Taiwan.
The first United States film to be screened using a digital projector was “Star Wars.” Digital projectors were first used in Japan in 2001.
Developed in 2002, the UX-7 Series was upgraded for use in cutting-edge semiconductor device manufacturing for 2.5D packaging applications.
In 2011, launched “Spot Cure SPL-2”, a fiber light source LED spot UV irradiation unit.
