* The Commercial Lines Account Executive manages an assigned book of business, develops client relationships and delivers to grow and retain clients. * Establishes and maintains strong and productive professional relationships with insurance carrier marketing, underwriting, and risk control staff, including a detailed familiarity with each carrier's products and services in support of assigned clients.
* Directly oversees and coordinates the delivery of all HUB services to assigned clients throughout the policy cycle, including stewardship reports, delivery of risk control services, carrier meetings, claims reviews, preparation of coverage outlines, and marketing of emergent and renewal coverage requests.
* Alongside the Producer, if assigned, or primarily responsible for maintaining current receivable status for assigned clients. Proactive efforts to collect receivables more than 30 days past-due should be undertaken, with each unresolved circumstance documented and reported to accounting.
* Ensures that all client service needs are promptly and professionally delivered, either directly by the AE or via HUB colleagues (e.g. AMs, Small Business Unit, Risk Control,

* Utilizes various HUB and industry resources and tools that are available to best serve clients.

+ Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed for account review.
+ Remarket renewals, contact clients, create renewal proposals and handle other renewal activities in coordination with the producer and/or Account Manager.
+ Gather underwriting, pricing, and supporting data for preparation of submission.
+ Assist Producers and/or Account Managers in the premium collection process and handle accounting issues.
+ Responsible for follow up on delinquent accounts which have been set to cancel for non-payment by the carrier.
+ Refers current and prospective clients to other departments for solicitation of those lines of business.
+ Assist clients with claims when necessary.
+ Maintains accurate and organized account files by appropriately documenting conversations with clients and carrier representatives; updates all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems; ensures the accuracy of data.
+ Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School Diploma / GED; College degree strongly preferred

The Carrier Team assists as the bridge of communication between the Hub Accounting teams and our Insurance Carrier and Broker partners. As a service and support unit, they work closely to ensure carrier inquiries and documentation are thoroughly researched and resolved.
About the position:
The Carrier Team Associate plays a key role in supporting accurate financial transactions by reviewing and routing carrier documentation, including statements, invoices, and related materials, to the appropriate teams. They verify documentation for accuracy, handle first-level inquiries, and conduct research to support correct commission posting. This role also involves professional communication with carriers while representing Accounting. Success comes from strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration across teams.
Review and validate carrier documentation, including statements, invoices, and supporting materials, to ensure accuracy and completeness before routing to the appropriate accounting teams.
Act as a key liaison between carriers and internal teams, handling first-level inquiries and representing Accounting with professionalism and clarity.
Communicate effectively with carriers and brokers through email, phone, and in-person interactions to support partnership and resolve documentation-related questions.
Analyze documentation to identify inconsistencies or missing information and follow up to resolve issues that could delay transaction processing.
Maintain organized and accessible records within broker management systems, following internal procedures.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting shared goals and assisting with evolving priorities as needed.
Required-Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, accounting, or a related field is a plus
Experience in a support-focused role such as banking, finance, collections, help desk, or client solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
Clear and professional communication skills-written, verbal, and in-person-with confidence in engaging carriers and brokers via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment that values partnership, shared success, and mutual support

Summary
As a Production Underwriter for a Program Manager, you play a key role in driving revenue growth and building strong client relationships across insureds, retail insurance agents, and wholesale brokers. This position combines proactive sales engagement with exceptional underwriting to promote our programs and expand business opportunities. Responsibilities include quoting renewals and new business, driving follow-ups to close sales, identifying cross-sell opportunities, processing endorsements and payments, and ensuring timely policy binds to support company growth targets.
Essential Functions
Obtaining renewal and/or underwriting information for accounts
Conduct follow-ups on applications and quotes to convert prospects into binds
Communicate effectively via phone and email to promote products and provide solutions to clients and brokers
Rate accounts and prepare compelling quote proposals with appropriate terms and conditions
Checking/reviewing policies for accuracy
Binding policies and completing associated paperwork including processing payments
Ensuring that items are delivered to clients in a timely manner
Quote and process change endorsements while identifying potential upsell opportunities
Strengthen and expand relationships with brokers and carriers to increase program growth
Participate in marketing meetings to assist in developing sales strategies and promotional materials
Provide performance feedback and identify potential enhancements to expand program competitiveness
Participate and present at industry related events/conventions.
Perform other duties as assigned including projects
Competencies to be expected within 9-12 months
Full understanding and application of Underwriting Guidelines to facilitate efficient quoting and closing
Proficient knowledge of program applications, marketing strategies, and sales tools
Ability to independently rate, quote, bind policies and endorsements, and complete schedules with minimal to no oversight
Competency in understanding state-specific requirements
Understanding of PPIB procedures, systems, and workflows to drive sales efficiency
Eligibility Qualifications
Active Property & Casualty License - Home State
5+ years of prior commercial insurance preferably in a sales or revenue-focused role
Fully proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Other Information
Remote eligible if more than 75 miles from Petaluma location
In office required if within 75 miles from Petaluma location with an option to work from home two days a week
Permanent remote employees are expected to travel to Petaluma office 4-5 times per year (company paid within approved guideline)
Work hours are from 8:30am PST to 5:00pm PST, Monday - Friday, regardless of location
