Description :The Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) Director is a regional leadership role in the Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) practice working directly with clients and prospects who qualify for EPS Technical Resource assignment to seek to identify EPS exposures, assist in addressing such exposure and transferring the balance of the exposure into EPS specific insurance products. Additionally, the EPS Regional Director will be responsible for oversight of Select and Middle Market within the region placed by account management. Lastly, the regional EPS director will work with EPS National teams as/when needed. A financially focused mind is needed to understand EPS risk impact to a client's income statement and balance sheet as well as a mind focused on emergent risks within EPS lines with ability to relay these to clients, prospects and USI production.

Responsibilities:

· Direct the Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) Regional Practice in conjunction with regional sales/marketing efforts to generate new revenue to USI and retain current accounts.

· Position includes an emphasis in Directors & Officers Liability, Fiduciary, Employment Practices, Cyber and Crime coverage, but must be conversant in Cyber, Errors and Omissions and Transactional Liability.

· Develop and maintain an EPS target list by office.Coordinate with Producer and COI's (Center of Influence) that may influence those opportunities directly or indirectly.

· Develop COI's through EPS educational presentations, networking and USI vertical specific events -- utilize COI's in sales opportunities as needed.

· Strategize with National EPS Team, USI Regional OpCo Presidents, USI Regional Technical Leaders and Producers for both new business and retention of current business.

· Assist in customizing EPS content for specific, large target accounts including participation in RFP and other “qualifying” events.

· Oversee, request assistance and participate with the EPS National Team as needed on regional ops.

· Directly manage Client Relationships for EPS lines of coverage with client and prospects with over $75k in premium EPS placements.

· Act as oversight for EPS lines of coverage for client and prospects with at or under $75k in premium on various EPS lines of coverage; work with production and account management leadership in this effort in region.

· Facilitate training for production and account management team members focused on lines of coverage, market changes, and client deliverables.

· Respond and manage client and prospect needs throughout the year (i.e., post marketing and binding, etc.) and in concert with other USI service departments, i.e., Claims Management, etc.

· Work with USI National EPS Leadership on various initiatives both internal and external.

· Public company and large complex private and financial institutions will be placed in the market by the local EPS Directors however, coordination and participation by Local EPS National Team, will be needed/critical so ability to work within matrix environment is critical.

· Other projects/tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Bachelor's degree in related field. JD or Master's Degree preferred.

· Progressive responsibility in Executive and Professional Risk Solutions (EPS) related lines in the insurance brokerage field (minimum of 5 years).

· Ability to understand multiple EPS lines on a deep technical terms and conditions level is preferred/mandatory.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently, but in concert with national EPS standards with a high degree of accuracy.

· Ability to work well as part of a team.

· Demonstrated Project Management skills with successful life cycle completion is necessary.

· Must be detail oriented, organized, responsive and able to perform with high standards of quality.

· Must have demonstrated ability to lead “C-suite level” presentations.

· Must have demonstrated strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills as well as superior customer service skills.

· Ability to analyze problems and make decisions based on regulations and procedures in place currently while contemplating new or emergent legislation/regulation and its impact on clients/COB's.

General Description : This position serves as the primary service contact for complex clients and is responsible for client satisfaction and the day to day development of the Service Team. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and leadership to accounts, as well as represent client need and goals within the organization to ensure quality.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Individual would manage a limited book of business comprised of complex clients who are located both locally and nationally, and have various funding methods, advanced contract features and structure that requires a higher level of experience and technical expertise.
  • Responsible for acting as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers and retaining clients through customer service which includes open and clear communication channels with clients, producers and internal partners. Ensure accurate and timely responses occur between all parties.
  • Ability to lead client meetings regarding renewal and utilization results in the absence of the Account Executive and/or Producer.
  • Identify problems, summarize and develop strategic solutions with the client and internal Partners by incorporating the company's culture, mission and future staffing needs into our recommended strategic solutions.
  • Expected to attend client meetings on site at their location(s). On occasion overnight travel may be required.
  • As needed, preparation of materials needed for client meetings including but not limited to agendas, reports, calendars, etc.
  • Expected to have regular client contact as established by the client service calendar and renewal timeline. Client contact will include all methods: electronic, telephonic and in person.
  • Educate, advise and aid clients on all Compliance topics including, but not limited to, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform.
  • Communicate due dates, timelines and expectation to clients and partners.
  • Install new group insurance contracts for existing clients or new clients effectively utilizing resources to match client needs.
  • Administer renewals including preparing appropriate contractual changes.
  • Conduct on-site meetings to communicate to employees and/or administrator about their benefit plans.
  • Develop employee memorandum drafts for client to communicate the following; annual renewal changes, enrollment procedures, miscellaneous benefit changes and/or clarifications.
  • Lead the peer review process both as a participant as well as a reviewer.
  • Provide resolution support and oversight of employee issues such as enrollment and billing issues.
  • Provide periodic quality audits, when necessary.
  • Responsible for the direct management of 4 or more employees.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and development of the team.
  • Manage employees through performance reviews, performance improvement plans, setting priorities, developing work plans and schedules, handling department issues, recording time and attendance and approval of expense reports.
  • Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.
  • Provide leadership to the team that promotes teamwork by sharing experiences, assisting others when help is needed and maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work on additional projects that supports the overall development and advancement of the Employee Benefits team.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in employee benefits industry or related marketplace.
  • 4 year college degree or industry specific designation preferred.
  • Prior managerial experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must currently hold life and disability insurance license (or must obtain it within 4 months following date of employment) and retain license by meeting the continuing education requirements.
  • High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Windows2007, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Sets priorities and manages work flow independently to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.

General Description: The Personal Risk Specialist is an outside sales position focused on serving the unique insurance needs of affluent/high net worth clients. In addition to cross-selling, as a primary focus for business development, this role is also expected to establish additional sources of clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Schedule appointments and visit with high net worth individuals to understand their lifestyle, concerns and unique insurance needs, and provide consultative advice to tailor personal risk management solutions accordingly.

Achieve new business sales goals on an annualized basis based on our target market.

To achieve the necessary revenue goals, the employee will be required to develop lists of prospective centers of influence and lead sources with clients that fall in the target group for the USI ONE Advantage .

Successfully penetrate assigned prospect targets utilizing USI's Engagement Platform process with prospective business partners such as lawyers, financial services professionals, realtors and other professionals that serve the affluent segment of the market.

Demonstrate the ability to identify and overcome sales obstacles on a prospect-specific basis.

Successfully develop and deploy sales and marketing strategies, along with periodic communications to optimize USI's position in the marketplace.

The Personal Risk Specialist will be required to meet with external centers of influence to prospect, engage and ultimately serve as a value-added service that is provided to the clients of the center of influence.

Build strong working relationships and win the confidence of Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits production staff.

Establish a relationship as a trusted partner and advisor to clients and prospects.

Develop and support cross-selling strategies for existing clients, as well as new relationships.

Participate and, as necessary, lead meetings with existing and prospective clients.

Manage employee and prospect data, including the development of prospect lists from business clients, maintaining activity records in USI's CRM and sales tracking programs.

Develop and oversee preparation of proposals for Personal Risk Management clients and prospects, research and assist in writing responses to clients and present individual personalized insurance programs to prospective clients.

Flexibility in schedule is a must - requires some evening hours.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in High Net Worth or personal insurance sales or service.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Must have personal lines insurance industry experience.

Ability to travel 50% or more of the time and meet with clients.

General Description: The USI Insurance Services Personal Risk Practice provides comprehensive risk management and insurance consultation to high net worth individuals and family offices with complex financial and insurance needs. The Private Risk Advisor (PRA) is an outside sales position responsible for cultivating relationships with all partners and entities within USI, strategic partners and centers of influence specifically focused on the high net worth and family office marketplace.

Job Description

  • Promote the USI Private Risk Advisor suite of solutions by cultivating robust business partnerships and relationships with centers of influence (COIs) and trusted advisors to financially successful families.
  • Attract new clients to Private Risk that meet the minimum client profile standards.
  • Design risk management insurance programs to protect the personal assets, exposures and lifestyles of high net worth individuals, families and family offices
  • Implement comprehensive risk analysis reviews focused on identifying personal, professional and business exposures and addressing them with a suite of proprietary solutions and collective knowledge of the USI dedicated Personal Risk team.
  • Prepare and executes strategic sales plans for identifying and qualifying prospective clients, building a network of Centers of Influence and being a thought leader within the wealth management industry.
  • Deliver targeted profitable revenue growth through new revenue generation and client retention strategies in partnership with a client service team
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences utilizing a customized consultative selling approach, positioning the value and focus of the client service team and their ongoing stewardship of the programs.
  • Create & deliver professional presentations and proposals to internal and external clients and prospects illustrating the USI value proposition, industry trends and customized insurance solutions.
  • Position value added services and partnerships to key stakeholders and trusted advisors for mutual client and prospect benefit
  • expertise is maintained at the highest levels.
  • Gain and develop knowledge of industry trends as well as advise and influence development of innovative, bespoke solutions in response to client needs.
  • Engage, introduce and position value-added third-party subject matter experts in response to client needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of High Net Worth sales experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Solid conflict resolution capabilities
  • Microsoft Office program proficiency
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment where strong independent thinking skills are important
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Established network of COI's and a proven track record of sales success
  • Must possess a current P&C License
