    Job Purpose:The Registered Nurse is a member of the care delivery team. The Registered Nurse is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. Minimum Requirements: Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Required Licenses/Certifications:Current RN Licensure, either Texas or Compact is required. BLS and ACLS certification is required and must be completed upon hire. PALS (PACU and ER only) certification is required and must be completed upon hire. ENPC and TNCC are preferred for ER. Work Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in nursing preferred Essential Job Responsibilities: •Delivers quality nursing care while minimizing the risk of infection, contamination, harm, or injury. •Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the competency validation form. •Confirms patient identity via use of two patient identifiers and checks patient identification bracelet before procedures. •Provides appropriate updates, instructions and patient education information to patient and family. •Follows the hospital exposure control plans for blood borne and airborne pathogens. •Communicates with peer and management any safety hazards identified in the workplace. •Demonstrates an understanding of cultural differences. •Participates in the performance improvement process within the Hospital and department. •Delivers nursing care to assigned group of patients including education directed towards identified knowledge deficits, treatment planning, pain management and discharge planning utilizing the nursing process. •Anticipates deteriorating life sign patterns or equipment malfunctions and takes appropriate action. •Establishes a compassionate environment providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, friends and families. •Demonstrates proper body mechanics in all functions •Wears proper identification while on duty •Perform other duties as assigned

To thrive in this role, you must be able to: Administer medications as ordered/prescribed by a CMS medical provider Monitor behavioral patterns, medical symptoms, and physical symptoms related to dosage, as well as other symptoms related to drug use and mental health concerns Obtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samples Process point-of-care urine drug screens per company policy Prepare take-home medication (n/a in Montana) Monitor medication administration closely to prevent diversion Report diversion to proper internal authorities Maintain accurate client records in company's EHR system Document medication errors and respond to adverse medical reactions per company policy Arrange temporary incoming and outgoing courtesy dosing clients Deliver medications to external facilities Order necessary dosing room and nursing-related supplies Maintain accurate medication inventory records Adhere to all federal, state, local, and accrediting body regulations Administer CPR if necessary Requirements: Licensed LPN CPR certification required Ability to travel to assigned CMS sites Experience in the field of substance use disorders preferred, but not required Knowledge of the signs of intoxication and opioid withdrawal symptoms Demonstrates accuracy in medication administration and ability to maintain accurate client records Must have reliable transportation #NUR About Community Medical Services Community Medical Services (CMS) is a CARF-accredited addiction treatment program providing services in the form of outpatient medication-assisted treatment and one-on-one and group counseling to those seeking help with their opioid use disorder.
