    Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Nurturing Resilience Initiative/TCHATT The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth Houston) is seeking a psychology post-doctoral fellow interested in clinical and research training in child and adolescent psychology. Clinical and research training will focus on youth receiving school-based tele-mental health services and children/families who are participating in community-based social-emotional skills groups and evidence-based parenting programs. Applicants must have a PhD in psychology. This is a hybrid position in which postdoctoral fellows will deliver services via telemedicine and in-person at community sites in Harris and Fort Bend Counties. Trainees will choose between one of two tracks within the postdoctoral fellowship, with one track focusing on school-aged youth and the other track focusing on early childhood and parenting. The school-age track includes the delivery of brief social emotional groups at Boys and Girls Club and YMCA locations. The second track includes a focus on early childhood with postdoctoral fellows delivering relational-focused parenting classes to caregivers of children under 6 years old. Both tracks include research and training opportunities and can be customized to individual professional goals. General educational activities include weekly didactic activities, journal clubs, writing clubs, meetings with senior researchers, workshops on grant writing, and individualized career development plans. Scholarly activities are integrated into the fellowship training. Johnson Hospital, the Division is comprised of 12 gastroenterologists - 9 academic staff and 3 full-time, clinic-based physicians - and 6 fellows who evaluate and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders in our clinics, hospitals, and endoscopy laboratories. In a typical year, the Pedi GI Team completes more than 8,000 visits across 6 clinics and about 700 admissions across 4 hospitals. The Division has active programs in inflammatory bowel disease; specialized clinics in liver disease and children with high risk; an aerodigestive program; and a growing program on celiac and colorectal diseases. The Pediatric Gastroenterology Division is currently #29 in the US News and World Report Top Children's Hospitals, ranked ahead of many more populated programs, and is expanding outreach clinics across the growing pediatric population in Greater Houston. There is strong institutional support to continue this growth and develop additional areas, including advanced endoscopy and motility programs. Work with other DMS IT Stakeholders and external vendors to troubleshoot current systems and with the evaluation of new systems, as well as upgrades to existing systems.
