Duties & Responsibilities
Utilizes product knowledge and demonstrated selling skills in order to influence targeted health care professionals to support the use of BIPI promoted diabetes products. Identifies top plans for customers. Engages customers in comprehensive discussions on the payer environment, co-pays, and formulary access. Works with Managed Care Area Managers to generate and sustain support for products on MCO formularies. Develops and influences an extended team to pull-through MCO decisions. Delivers on "continuation of care" model, including discharge protocol, treatment algorithms, disease management, etc.
Analyzes qualitative and quantitative territory information to optimize territory business plan and customer calls. Monitors local market conditions for changes that impact business. Develops plans to optimize allocation of key resources, including samples, co-pay cards, funds for speaker programs, and funds for in-office meals. Adjusts implementation plans on a regular basis (speaker mgmt., advocate development, etc.). Leverages opportunities that meet both territory and brand tactics. Works effectively with all customer-facing roles (i.e. Account teams, Medical teams, etc.) in a given geography to meet customer needs and deliver net sales objectives. Demonstrates strong collaboration and communication as customers evolve and ownership of accounts transition from traditional to account based.
Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, DEA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, etc.) and Company policy and procedures. * Develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders across the college and broader community to achieve excellence in the teaching, research and service.
* Effectively recruit and evaluate faculty and staff and support their professional development. Provide leadership, oversight and direction to direct reports and academic personnel to assure goals, programs, activities, and personnel practices, including faculty reviews and continuing appointment processes, are consistent with and contribute to strategic goals of the institution.
* Manage state, federal and private resources provided to the college strategically, fairly and effectively, and take initiative to seek out and generate external resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Candidates must hold a doctoral degree from a College or University accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in academic administration at the departmental or similar level and successful experience in college or university teaching to justify appointment at the rank of full professor.
* Candidates must possess excellent leadership qualities, communication skills, and the ability to convey information concisely. They must support the vision, mission, and values of SUNY Poly. In addition, candidates must possess the flexibility and capacity to oversee, prioritize, and execute a variety of strategic partnerships and initiatives and multiple projects concurrently.
* Candidates must have knowledge of AACSB accreditation and an understanding of compliance in a regulatory environment covering research and education program administration, as well as the ability to manage complex business matters and transactions in a dynamic environment.
* Some travel, both on site and off site, will be necessary, as there will be some engagement activities scheduled outside of normal work hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in academic administration serving as a Department Chair, Associate Dean, or Dean in an AACSB accredited college of business, at an institution whose faculty and staff are governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
* Earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited institution.
