What do I need as a Utility Aide with McGregor?

• Must demonstrate dependability with scheduled work hours.
• Prior dietary experience preferred.
• Customer service-oriented.

What will I do as a Utility Aide with McGregor?

• Set up and operate dish machine and pots and pans sink according to procedures; store all items; check dish machine for proper operations of cycles and wash and rinse temperatures.
• Record dishwasher and refrigeration temperatures according to procedures.
• Lift and load bulk food supplies and equipment and place them in the appropriate storage area.
• Clean dish room, pantry, and kitchen floors.
• Transport assigned food carts to and from various kitchens and place them in designated areas.
• Clean and store equipment after completion of work.
• Wash pots and pans and place them in designated areas.

What will I do in this role with Garden Spot?

As a Utility Aide , supporting the Garden Spot Communities' mission will include the following responsibilities:

• Provide assistance as directed and assigned in dietary functions and activities such as: Operates dishwasher, wash pots and pans, removes trash, may work the serving line, cleans the equipment and other areas within the department.

• Follow written instructions when using cleaning products.

• Follow policies and procedures relating to food service, especially in the areas of sanitation.

• Sweep, mop and maintain floors in assigned areas in the nutrition services department, clean

major pieces of equipment

• Follow a cleaning schedule; empty trash; wash walls, storage shelves, and maintain dock areas.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• Previous hospital or restaurant customer service experience preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Proficiency in English/ Bilingual in Spanish preferred

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Food Handlers Certification helpful

Work Schedule:
Part Time Day/Evening - flexible schedule.

Typical Shifts: 6:30am - 3pm, 8:30am - 5pm, and 4pm - 8pm
Typically scheduled every other weekend, but depending on staffing needs may be asked to pull additional.
