1989

SUE got a new name in 1989.

Then, in 1989 at the First Annual National Highway Utility Conference in Cleveland, “Designating and Locating” was introduced nationally as “Subsurface Utility Engineering”, later shortened to “SUE”.

2000

Purdue University's study, Cost Savings on Highway Projects Utilizing Subsurface Utility Engineering, was published and distributed in 2000.

2003

ASCE's standard entitled, Standard Guideline for the Collection and Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility Data was published and distributed in 2003.

2019

Ranked #8 in Trenchless Technology 2019 Top 50 firms.

2020

Ranked #6 in Trenchless Technology 2020 Top 50 firms.
