Responsibilities
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans to act as a subject matter liaison between infrastructure designers, utility agencies and project owners on behalf of clients
• Performs utility records research, compiles project utility contact ledgers and utility conflict tracking
• Conducts utility coordination meetings, documents meeting minutes and maintains files of all activities for each utility agency
• Assemble and evaluate for completeness utility agreement documents including project owner required utility plans, specifications and cost estimates
• Performs follow-up of meeting action items to assure effective coordination results
• Meets with utility representatives and other entities to explain the utility accommodation policy and relocation and reimbursement processes, negotiate, answer questions and to resolve problems
• Communicates verbally and in writing to keep project team informed regarding the status of utility coordination activities
• Develops, implements and interprets Department policies and procedures as they relate to utility adjustments, relocations, negotiations, reimbursements and compliance with applicable state and federal laws
• Develops, maintains and updates utility relocation schedules
• Monitors the installation/removal, adjustment or relocation of utilities
• Prepares, processes and maintains documents, references and/or resource materials
• Reviews agreements, plans, specifications and billings submitted by the utility companies
• Perform QA/QC reviews of utility plans, specifications and cost estimates to assure compliance with applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements
• Assists with the management of SUE/UC schedules and submittals
• Participates with marketing SUE/UC services both internally and externally

Supports the Utilization Management clinical teams by assisting with non-clinical administrative tasks and responsibilities related to pre-service, utilization review, care coordination and quality of care.
