Provides support for medical claim and internal appeals review activities - ensuring alignment with applicable state and federal regulatory requirements, Molina policies and procedures, and medically appropriate clinical guidelines. Contributes to overarching strategy to provide quality and cost-effective member care.
**Job Duties**
+ Facilitates clinical/medical reviews of retrospective medical claim reviews, medical claims and previously denied cases in which an appeal has been made, or is likely to be made, to ensure medical necessity and appropriate/accurate billing and claims processing.
+ Reevaluates medical claims and associated records by applying advanced clinical knowledge, knowledge of relevant and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements and guidelines, knowledge of Molina policies and procedures, and individual judgment and experience to assess the appropriateness of services provided, length of stay, level of care, and inpatient readmissions.
+ Validates member medical records and claims submitted/correct coding, to ensure appropriate reimbursement to providers.
+ Resolves escalated complaints regarding utilization management and long-term services and supports (LTSS) issues.
+ Identifies and reports quality of care issues.
+ Assists with complex claim review including diagnosis-related group (DRG) validation, itemized bill review, appropriate level of care, inpatient readmission, and any opportunities identified by the payment integrity analytical team; makes decisions and recommendations pertinent to clinical experience.
+ Prepares and presents cases representing Molina, along with the chief medical officer (CMO), for administrative law judge pre-hearings, state insurance commissions, and judicial fair hearings.
+ Reviews medically appropriate clinical guidelines and other appropriate criteria with medical directors on denial decisions.
+ Supplies criteria supporting all recommendations for denial or modification of payment decisions.
+ Serves as a clinical resource for utilization management, CMOs, physicians and member/provider inquiries/appeals.
+ Provides training and support to clinical peers.
+ Identifies and refers members with special needs to the appropriate Molina program per applicable policies/protocols.
**Job Qualifications**
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ At least 2 years clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year of utilizationreview, medical claims review, long-term services and supports (LTSS), claims auditing, medical necessity review and/or coding experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
+ Registered Nurse (RN). License must be active and unrestricted in state of practice.
+ Experience demonstrating knowledge of ICD-10, Current Procedural Technology (CPT) coding and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding (HCPC).
+ Experience working within applicable state, federal, and third-party regulations.
+ Analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
+ Organizational and time-management skills.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Critical-thinking and active listening skills.
+ Common look proficiency.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Microsoft Office suite and applicable software program(s) proficiency.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Certified Clinical Coder (CCC), Certified Medical Audit Specialist (CMAS), Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Professional Healthcare Management (CPHM), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or other health care certifications.
+ Nursing experience in critical care, emergency medicine, medical/surgical or pediatrics.
+ Billing and coding experience.

St. Luke's Health System's Cancer Institute in Boise, ID seeks an Advanced Practitioner for our Hematologic Malignancies and Blood Marrow Transplantation Program. The selected APP will be working 4/10s or 3/10s plus an overnight coverage shift, splitting their time between seeing patients in the clinic and in the hospital. Call is required. St. Luke's Cancer Institute has had an adult autologous transplant program since 1993, successfully started an allogeneic transplant program in the spring of 2018, manages complex hematologic malignancies such as acute leukemia, and is the only CAR T administration site in the state. This program provides patient care for this state as well as bordering states such as Oregon, Montana, Wyoming and Nevada. Since the inception of the autologous program, hundreds of patients have received transplants at St. Luke's Boise. The program has received accreditation from the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapies (FACT) every three years since 2001 for autologous transplant and received FACT Accreditation for allogeneic transplant in the summer of 2019. Job Title: Substitute School Nurse Reports To: Nurse Coordinator and Principal in the respective building Calendar: Employed on a daily basis according to need Salary: $150/day Benefits: None
Job Summary:
To provide district-wide school health services that promote the highest level of physical, mental and social well-being for all district students. Acts as a Substitute Nurse for the Kuna School District when a School Nurse is out or unavailable.
Qualifications:
Possess a current state license to practice as a registered nurse
Prefer a minimum of five years of varied nursing experience and previous school nurse experience
Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below
Positive public relations skills
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with schools, staff, and other nurses to provide consistency in care for students
Perform any other professional duties requested by the superintendent.
Report to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school medical matters. Report to the school principal before reporting to parents.
Observe students detect health needs as requested by IEP Teams, Student Assistance Teams, Care Teams, or building administrators.
Assume the authority, in the absence of a physician, for the care of a student or staff member who has suffered injury or emergency illness.
Assume responsibility for accident reports.
Visit students' homes when necessary.
Recommend to the administration the exclusion and re-admission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases.
Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
Any other duties as assigned.
May require travel among different schools within the District
