As a Packer, this candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere while responsible for their individual station. This role runs on weekend day shift Friday to Sunday 6AM-6PM.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble cartons and pack bags of chips or finished product according to specifications.
* Inspect the quality of chips and packaging, removing defective or discolored products.
* Verify product codes, weights, and case labeling accuracy.
* Repack product as needed and load finished boxes onto skids.
* Apply stickers and other labeling to finished cases as directed.
* Support the training of new Packers and assist teammates during breaks or line changes.
* Participate in product changeovers and sanitation periods by cleaning packaging lines, belts, and work areas using compressed air, cleaning cloths, and mild to moderate chemicals.
Requirements
* Requires basic math and reading skills.
* Ability to fluently communicate in and read English or Spanish.
* Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time
* Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
* Regular lifting (50lbs).
* Ability to bend, stoop, squat, pivot regularly.
* Ability to be trained to be the backup lineperson and packer.
* Ability to be trained to use a hand jack.
