Qualifications
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
3-5 years of experience in a data analyst, analytics engineer, or similar role, including hands-on experience with:
Developing analytics and transformation code using SQL, preferably in a cloud data warehouse
Building and maintaining data models using dbt or a similar framework
Creating reporting, dashboards, and KPIs that support business decision-making
Working with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate analysis, automate tasks, or generate reporting assets

Responsibilities
Originate new IPL loans, while also acquiring deposits and other services
Solicits new lending opportunities, and the accompanying deposits, connected to multifamily (5+ unit) and 1-4 unit rental properties. Will benefit from internal and branch referrals as well as new opportunities from the existing members that UWCU is already partnering with.
Proficient in analyzing and interpreting financial statements of the subject property, together with guarantor financial information, to propose UWCU compliant loan. Able to quantify the connected credit risks and propose mitigating reasons or provisions.
Collaborate with Credit Analysts and Loan Administrators in the collection of financial statements and due diligence for borrowers and guarantors.
Strong analytical and people skills to negotiate favorable loan terms and pricing with borrowers that align with the credit risks prior to advancing into underwriting with the Credit Analysts.
Perform site visits for new loans.
Provide excellent communication with borrowers and members, both verbally and written, to collect financial documents and obtain answers to any underwriting questions that arise.
Take ownership of the underwriting process and work jointly with Credit Analysts to prepare loan presentations within targeted completion Advance loan presentations through the approval process.
Oversee loans getting processed from approval to closing, including: collection of any misc. information or documents needed, review of loan documents prior to closing, and coordinating the opening of any deposit accounts.

A Day in the Life of a Credit Solutions Specialist

Summarize next steps for members at the end of each call, thank them for reaching out, and ensure they feel supported.

Analyze accounts to determine the best next steps based on account type, balance, credit score, collateral value, and more.
Negotiate payment arrangements or loan extensions (typically 1-3 months) within established guidelines.
Meet specific department KPIs, including inbound/outbound call volume, promises to pay, dollars collected, and quality scores.
Collaborate with branch staff and internal teams to resolve member issues; escalate cases to management when appropriate.
Serve as a liaison for auto repossession agencies when needed.
Recommend operational improvements to enhance service and productivity.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring to the Team
Ability to work on-site three days per week.
2-3 years of experience in banking, retail, or customer service (call center experience strongly preferred; financial services call center experience a plus).
Strong customer service focus with the ability to handle difficult conversations and remain member-first in every interaction.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, pivot between priorities, and handle multiple systems and processes with accuracy.
Excellent communication, relationship building, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and sound decision-making.

Operational Excellence
Accurately perform account and card maintenance.
Take responsibility for monetary functions and balancing of appropriate GLs, included balance transfers, late fee refunds, payments returned items, credit and cash advantages and more.
Process daily, weekly, and monthly debit card, credit card and ATM exception report and audits.
Assist in maintaining procedures, and recommend improvements to increase productivity, performance, and efficiency.
Research errors and issues. Collaborate with vendors, internal technical partners, and more senior Card Programs team members to reach resolution.
Cardholder Experience
Provide direct phone and e-mail support to members, MS&S, MSC, and other internal partners, delivering exceptional member service and personalized solutions.
Solicit feedback, identify trends, and document opportunities to optimize the cardholder experience.
Demonstrate sound judgement and creative problem solving to effectively resolve member concerns and issues.
Develop internal help resources to support the acquisition and servicing of debit and credit cards.

Dispute Resolution
Process low-dollar, consumer dispute claims by gathering necessary information and documentation to acquire merchant credit or write off claims.

Provide members with clear expectations throughout the dispute resolution process including the timeframes and outcome of the claim.
Document decision making and investigation results that lead to write-off claim resolutions.
Collaborate with Loss Prevention, Member Solution Center and Member Sales and Service to support members through the dispute resolution process.
