This Operations Crew position is physically demanding and requires individuals who are willing to engage in hands-on labor to ensure the successful setup, maintenance, and breakdown of events. Crew members are responsible for the heavy lifting, physical setup, and facility maintenance required to keep the arena and its events running smoothly. The primary tasks associated with this position are event conversions, changing the ice surface to a temporary floor for various events, setting up and striking stages, and event set up for all games or events.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $18.75.

Responsibilities
Perform general labor, repairs, and maintenance throughout the arena as assigned.
Complete arena conversions between events.
Set up and breakdown of chairs, tables, event seating, stages, basketball courts, hockey dasher boards and glass, turf, and other equipment.
Lifting, moving, and securing heavy materials for event transitions.
Actively maintain and care for all arena equipment and property.
Storing equipment properly.
Cleaning and repairing damaged items.
Reporting any mistreatment or damage to management.
Maintain organized storage areas and ensure all equipment is accessible and in working order.
Perform snow removal tasks, including shoveling sidewalks, parking areas, entrances, and loading docks.
Other labor intensive duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older.
Expect to work primarily outside of normal business hours, including overnights, late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays-this is not a typical 9-to-5 job.
Physically capable of completing labor-intensive tasks in a fast-paced environment; both solo and in structured team settings.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. unaided and climb stairs frequently.
Steel-toe boots are required for safety.
An open mind to learning and active participation in all aspects of event changeovers.
Prior experience in event conversions, general labor, or facility maintenance is a plus.

The Stanford Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is a national leader in innovative clinical care, impactful research and pre-eminent education programs. The Division is comprised of 25 faculty and 8 part-time dental and cosmetic faculty. The Division has broad and comprehensive programs in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with considerable growth over the past decade and most recently successfully expanding programs to the East Bay.
This faculty position will be a full-time position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the University Medical Line (UML) or University Tenure Line (UTL), with 25% effort dedicated to the Division Chief role, along with clinical, teaching, and research activities. A strong history of scholarly activity in research with a track record of extramural funding is desired. The Division Chief will be responsible for leading growth and ensuring excellence in clinical care for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford Health Care, Stanford Children's Health, and affiliated institutions including the Palo Alto VAMC and Santa Clara Medical Center; mentor faculty; and develop and support research programs. The candidate is expected to be a MD or MD/ PhD, with a track record of leadership, mentorship, scholarship, and clinical excellence.

The Fisher College Police Department is actively seeking a part-time sergeant, a pivotal role that supports the college's overall mission and provides security and related public safety services for the protection of Fisher College, students, staff, visitors, and assets.
The Police Sergeant is responsible for supervising personnel of equal or lesser rank and is involved in a wide range of duties, including planning, assigning, and directing the activities of subordinates. The Sergeant also plays a key role in monitoring and evaluating the performance of subordinates and provides written documentation that meets the requirements of Fisher College's formal evaluation process.
Generally working under the supervision of the Administrative Lieutenant, the Sergeant shall have immediate control of the personnel under their command and shall be held strictly accountable for their efficiency, effectiveness, discipline, appearance, and overall conduct to ensure appropriate enforcement and compliance with the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the policies, procedures, and regulations of Fisher College, consistent with the interests of protecting the lives and property of the members of the Fisher College community. In the absence of any superior officer, the Sergeant shall assume complete charge of the department until otherwise relieved by a higher authority.
The Sergeant must be adaptable and ready to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and overtime as assigned. The department operates on a “five days on, two days off” schedule, balancing work and personal life.
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act, an individual to whom students and employees should report criminal offenses or who has significant responsibility for student and campus activities. A CSA shall report all allegations of Clery Act crimes they receive to the Public Safety Department so they may be investigated and published in the College's Annual Security and Fire Report. Maintains total familiarity with all applicable laws and the policies and procedures of the Fisher College Police Department and with the rules and regulations of Fisher College. Respond to or provide backup assistance on all potential disturbances and emergency calls.
Act as a resource for Officers and Public Safety Officers under their immediate supervision and guide other supervisors regarding staff responsibilities as may be assigned.
Identifies the need to follow up written incident reports by coordinating follow-up investigations with the initial officer or others.
Investigate and document all accidents in which on-duty members of the Fisher College Police Department are involved.
Actively involved in carrying out Crime Prevention and Community Policing programs.
Acts as a member of the supervisory and management team of the Fisher College Police Department and, as such, is expected to devote themselves to promoting the fulfillment of the department's mission and values among those they supervise and serve.
Provide first responder medical assistance and direct advanced medical personnel as necessary.

Qualifications
Required Minimum Qualifications:
All applicants must be certified as full-time police officers by the Massachusetts POST Commission.
Applicants who obtained their law enforcement officer certification from outside Massachusetts will require a permanent exemption from the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC).
Basic police firearms instruction and qualification course and/or recent requalification.
Highly efficient oral and written communication skills.
Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years old at the time of application.
Must possess and maintain a Massachusetts Class A Large Capacity License to Carry Firearms.
All candidates must have a valid Massachusetts Class D operator's license at appointment.
Must possess and maintain First responder and CPR certifications.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, shift assignments, and holidays.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Knowledge of problem-solving methods and ability to familiarize yourself with the operating procedures of various Fisher College departments, such as Residence Life, Student Affairs, IT, Facilities, and others with whom constant interaction is required.
Strong technology skills in the use of the Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), alarm access control and monitoring system, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate Selection and Certification Overview:
Must provide three written letters of reference.
All candidates must obtain certification as a law enforcement officer by the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission. In addition to POST certification, all candidates must obtain their warrant of appointment as a Special State Police Officer (SSPO).
Fisher College Police will work with candidates to facilitate any necessary MPTC academy training, POST certification, and SSPO appointment.
All officers must complete Field Training and Performance Appraisal before they can work independently.
Candidate applications will be screened to ensure minimum qualifications have been met. If those qualifications have been met, the candidate will be notified and provided information on the initial interview and hiring process.
Candidates who accept an initial interview and achieve a favorable assessment will advance to a second interview conducted by the Chief and/or Administrative Lieutenant.
Candidates who achieve a favorable assessment will advance to the following process, which is a thorough and complete background investigation as required by POST, in consultation with the MPTC and Massachusetts State Police Certification Unit, to determine the candidates' good moral character.
Any prior convictions for a felony, whose name is listed in the national decertification index or database, or untruthfulness are automatic disqualifiers for employment.
