Job Role: Project Managers are responsible for the successful delivery of a project from concept to commissioning. Key Duties: Manage small to medium scale refrigeration construction projects from award through to commissioning and final punch list completion.     Project Engineer Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented Project Engineer in Lyndhurst, VA to manage small to medium-scale mechanical projects. This role will have full responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of the projects, while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope. This is a highly demanding but rewarding position with multiple growth paths available including large-scale senior project manager, service manager, engineering manager or production manager. In this role, you will shadow a Senior Project Manager to gain the skills and experience necessary to advance into a Project Manager role. Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house. Job Role: Project Managers are responsible for the successful delivery of a project from concept to commissioning. This role ensures that projects are completed to the customer specification and manage safety, quality, efficiency, and ensure budgets and timelines are met. Key Duties: * Manage small to medium scale refrigeration construction projects from award through to commissioning and final punch list completion. * Ensure a safe worksite * Manage customer communication with the building owner and general contractor * Review contracts * Coordinate work with all trades * Develop, maintain and meet a project schedule that meets the overall general contractor schedule * Ensure proper staffing levels and all materials/tools are on site when needed * Create and maintain lasting relationships with current and new vendors on a national and local level * Manage the project scope and quote change orders as needed * Review engineering progress throughout the design process * Track and follow up with purchasing on material requirements and delivery schedules * Any other tasks necessary to complete the project Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSME preferred) * Strong negotiating skills with the ability to deliver cost effective materials to work sites in a timely/efficient manner * The ability to make independent business decision within budget, seeking guidance only when dealing with exceptionally difficult issues * Excellent organizational and documentation skills * Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively * Ability to multi-task and prioritize * Excels in an ever-changing work environment * Weekend and evening support of field construction work as needed * Must be a team player working with office, shop and field staff to complete projects.
