We have two immediate openings in our Buildings Commissioning/Validation group for an enthusiastic, diligent and experienced Commissioning / Validation Specialist. In this role you will prepare and implements project commissioning/validation plans for existing or new buildings related to bio-pharmaceutical dosage forms, nutraceutical facilities and other regulated FDA or similar facilities where drug products are manufactured, stored in GMP conditions and distributed, including computerized and automated systems which require qualification and validation for compliance. The commissioning and validation of equipment, facilities, utility systems and computerized systems are intended to verify that they are designed, installed, qualified, and capable of being operated and maintained for performance in conformity with specifications, design intent and client/user and regulatory requirements. Working under the guidance of Director of commissioning/validation, you will work on a variety of projects from small renovations to large complex capital projects across North America.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform commissioning/validation tasks including reviewing shop drawings and equipment submittals, reviewing and/or generating commissioning and validation plans, user requirement specifications, functional and design specifications and other applicable lifecycle documents.
- Review designs, drawings, specifications of facility and equipment and automation to understand project scope and commissioning/validation requirements.
- Prepare commissioning/validation protocols adhering to specifications, client templates and lifecycle documents.
- Assist in the execution of commissioning/validation project protocols, including discrepancies, and generating final reports to assist in closure of protocols.
- Assist Director of Commissioning/Validation with client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables and business development.
- Coordinate with other Stantec engineering and client disciplines to confirm alignment with the design intent
- Recognize when technical problems are developing and escalate or initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Attend project coordination meetings.
- Support project managers for Commissioning/Validation projects for managing scope and fee for these projects.

**Pay Range:**
- Locations in VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 102,100.00 - Max Salary $ 153,200.00

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. This is an exciting opportunity for an I&C Systems Design Engineer, preferably with consulting engineering experience, to join our team and lead projects with a variety of I&C, automation system design, and SCADA integration. The selected candidate will be responsible for I&C and SCADA design and implementation services for diverse clients and projects for environmental remediation, industrial & municipal water and wastewater treatment, conveyance systems, and facilities.
Role accountabilities:
This role provides engineering and design services to produce design & construction documents for projects. They will coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers assigned to the project and prepare technical memorandums and develop design criteria, SCADA system architecture, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), SCADA network diagrams, process control functional narratives, control schematics, panel layout diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.
Additional duties include:
Support projects and clients in the planning, design and construction of water/wastewater facilities and other similar industrial facilities, serving as Arcadis' main point of contact with our clients for their I&C needs.
Project Manager leading all facets of project, to include; budgeting, planning, cost estimating, design and execution of SCADA and instrumentation & control systems.
Support electrical engineering and developing electrical design to support the I&C systems design. Conduct factory testing, site acceptance testing, field checkout, and startup of I&C and SCADA system startups. Utilize technical experience and expertise in the execution of I&C and SCADA projects from inception to successful startup and turnover.
Program process control logic in PLCs and configure graphical HMI for SCADA system on a variety of platforms. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field of study
7+ years of I&C, Automation, and SCADA system design and implementation experience in water/wastewater market.
Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain license within 12 months.
Key Skills and Attributes:

JOB SUMMARY:
This position will ensure safety practices are followed and are communicated as top priority. Also, the person in the position needs to ensure that quality finished goods are received with customer, and packaged in good conditions, protecting the customer from defects.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate quality concerns reported in customer facility to Stoneridge plant through Quality Engineer
Review with customer any NCPs generated since last time being in Chillicothe plant
Ensure effective control of rejected material to prevent any customer complaint or rejected material in customer facility
Verify and maintain testing equipment in good condition to test product
Report official quality concerns to Stoneridge Quality Engineer for problem and containment support
Perform containment activities at site when required
Create detailed reports of quality issues detected at site
Inspect, analyze and repair rejected units (if applicable) at customer facility
Responsible for correct execution of Process Deviation in customer facilities and verify conditions of product handling by customer
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or other engineering discipline), or at least 5 years of experience as Quality or Electronic Technician
Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality assurance, quality control, supplier quality and/or quality liaison role within an automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing facility

This role requires 5 day a week on site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides oversight of all necessary inspections of articles maintained by the repair station to ensure overall quality of workmanship and material used in the repair and overhaul process.
- Maintains all FAA Part 145 Repair Station Quality Control documents.
- Performs internal audit and participates in quality oversight of FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
- Demonstrates a thorough familiarity with all applicable FARs, company, and customer manuals applicable to their work assignments.
- Demonstrates a thorough familiarity with necessary tooling, inspection aids and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ensures all maintenance and alterations that are performed by the repair station are in compliance to the applicable technical data.
- Supports inspection and release documentation of articles processed in P145 Repair Station (as required).
- Support the timely completion and documentation of the Internal Audit Process.
- Generates and follows up on internal corrective action requests.
- Focuses on continuous improvement and consistently demonstrates good business judgment.
- Works effectively with all internal departments, customers, and Regulatory Agencies to exceed internal and external expectations for customer satisfaction.
- Travel: 5% (general guideline: once per year) within U.S/Outside U.S.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Evening/night hours may be required.
- Extra hours may be required during business peak times.

Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3-5 years manufacturing experience in the field of Quality.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- At least 3+ years of experience in the aerospace sector.
- Prior experience with FAA Part 145 regulations.
- Experience with Aerospace Quality Standards AS9100 / AS9110, NADCAP etc...
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, purchase specifications, applicable FAA regulations, contractual terms and conditions.
- Ability to use a variety of quality measurement equipment, Micrometer, Vernier's, Shadowgraph, CMM etc...
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak Standard English, including technical, aircraft and quality control-related vocabulary, for technical and general business correspondence and for producing work products.
- Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes, and procedures.
- Proficient in use of MS Office software, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
