Valley Christian Center company history timeline

1974

He founded Grace Valley Christian Center (GVCC) in 1974.

1987

The first official service was held in the cafeteria of Berenda Elementary School on September 6, 1987.

Let’s begin… Even before Valley West Christian Center (VWCC) opened its door in 1987, the vision of this new church was clear to Pastors Roger and Dixie.

1988

In October 1988 VWCC was graciously given 10 Acres of land on Adell Street by Sherman and Sally Thomas, to build our new church building.

1991

Dedication and Opening of the new sanctuary was on November 24, 1991.

1995

The first part of the history was written by Yvette (Leach) McKeever in July 1995

The ministry of GVCC has made a global impact, especially through its web ministry (active since 1995) and its outreach to international students and professors, along with their families.

1998

Construction began on the Skyway Campus on August 20, 1998.

2000

The junior high and high school grew to about 1200 students by January 2000.

2003

The Leigh Campus opened in February 2003, after being delayed by a fire, providing a permanent home for our elementary students through a long-term lease arrangement with Trinity Lutheran Church.

2008

In January 2008, Pastor Mathew began to preach through the entire book of Romans.

2009

In 2009, the Holy Spirit began a revival that continues to this day—a revival of revelation of sin, salvation of sinners, and returning of backslidden Christians to their first love.

2022
