Valley City State University invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor for Kinesiology and Human Performance Tenure-Track The primary responsibility of this position is to teach coursework in the Strength and Conditioning degree program. Courses within the Strength and Conditioning Specialist degree program are also required or elective courses in all degree programs in the Department of Kinesiology and Human Performance. Teaching responsibilities include 12 credits per semester (Fall and Spring) in a combination of face-to-face and online environments. Minimum Qualifications
* A master's degree exercise science, kinesiology, or closely related content area.
* Minimum of 18 graduate credits in related field of teaching.
* Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Certified or CSCS eligible.
* Willingness to teach both face-to-face on campus and in the online format.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience as an exercise physiologist, strength and conditioning specialist, or similar profession.
* Teaching experience in higher education.
* Course and curriculum development experience.
* Experience working with an online Learning Management System (LMS) such as Blackboard.
* Demonstrate effective use of technology and other innovative teaching methods in the classroom and online learning environment.
* Experience advising students.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and typically ranges from $47,000 to $52,000 annually pending experience and qualifications. This position is a 9-month, full-time position. In some cases, summer duties may be arranged through an additional contract.

Medication Management (writing medications on MAR, prepackaging medications, calls to the pharmacy, and continuation of being Med-Certified.)
Completes and updates General Events Reports, including completion of a monthly environmental scan and any additional required follow-up, as assigned.
Participates in internal investigations as requested.
Assisting with Financial and Socioeconomic Paperwork; Personal Spending- Monthly Budget/Balance Sheets, SNAP Benefits, Medicaid Applications, etc.
Participates in on-call rotation as scheduled.
Reports and works with HR regarding any staffing issues and assists in staff evaluations annually.
Participates in the on-call rotation.

Required Skills:
* Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
* Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
* Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
* Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
* Ability to project a professional image.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
* Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
* Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
* Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
* Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
