Valley County Health System has a great opportunity available for a Radiology Technologist to join our team on the day shift! This position is full-time and includes rotating call.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities of the Radiology Tech are to provide expert diagnostic radiological procedures to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, physicians and customers in and outside the Radiology Department. Multi-modality experience is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: • Current ARRT Certification • Current Medical Radiographer licensure in the State of Nebraska • Provide safe and appropriate care within the standards of practice • Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills • Demonstrate attention to detail • Ability to work independently and efficiently under normal and/or emergency circumstances. • Maintain CPR certification

* Select proper scanning procedure for each CT according to radiologist protocols.
* Perform proper views for each exam according to department protocol.

* Ensure appropriate consent forms are signed by the patient or responsible party for contrast procedures.

* Ensure exams are completed in a prompt manner from receipt of requisition, imaging, and interpretation.
* Review images and adjust technical factors or patient positions as needed to assist in diagnosis.
