Valley Industries company history timeline

1967

The workshop was started in Florissant in 1967 as Florissant Valley Sheltered Workshop, with a work force of 15.

1968

Illinois Valley Sheltered Workshop began in the basement of the First Baptist Church of Morris in 1968.

1981

In 1981, the first group home was established to serve 10 women.

1985

By 1985, the need for residential services had intensified and an eight apartment supported living complex was built through Farmers Home Administration to serve 22 men and women with developmental disabilities.

2001

In June of 2001, the workshop proudly opened its new 59,000 square foot facility in Hazelwood Missouri.

2015

Changes introduced in the 2015 ISO 9001 revision are intended to ensure that ISO 9001 continues to adapt to the changing environments in which organizations operate.
