This entry-level position is responsible for learning and training on a variety of tasks to process, dry and package whey products that meet customer expectations and support the achievement of the company's vision, mission and values.
Essential Functions
Provide assistance to operators and learn the basics of each position.
Perform preventative operator maintenance (POM) duties and complete additional cleaning tasks as determined by the supervisor.
Provide support to Whey Operator during CIP process.
Monitor, test and correct CIP concentrations.
Assist and support cleaning-related POMs.
Assist in CIP on MP RO/POL, Water HTST and all associated lines, tanks and equipment according to SOPs.
Provide support to Lactose Operator and Evap Operator during CIP process.
Monitor and sample RO/POL/HTST process during shutdown, CIP, and startup at specified control points and correct any deviations from defined analytical set points.
Transport finished WPC80 and Lactose to storage.
Maintain good communications with lead and/or supervisors to ensure a safe, continuous product flow and proper maintenance of equipment.
Complete and maintain appropriate paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping.
Operate and monitor assigned food safety preventative controls including verification activities, equipment operation, records requirements and corrective action database.
Safely handle, prepare and use chemicals while wearing proper PPE.
Attend and/or complete required safety and quality training sessions by the assigned deadlines.
Comply with all company safety rules to achieve no injuries and no lost time accidents.
Understand and adhere to all food safety, GMPs, and OSHA policies and procedures.

As a Production Operator 2, you will:
Operates the overhead crane to load and unload poles
Operate various standard and single-purpose machines or hand and power tools to remove undesirable material
Use a hoist or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as required
Bundles poles
Perform visual and dimensional checking using various gauges and instruments
Report defects and machine or tool malfunctions
Perform clean-up, grinding, drilling, blast booth, straightening, cutting, galvanizing process preparation and general production support tasks
Performs Hot Stick galvanize repair and fixes dents using Porta Power as needed
Examine finished products for defects
Accurately label all parts for routing to the next operation
Acts as area expert for monitoring the production board and internal paperwork to perform the tasks in the designated sequence
Achieves and maintains crane certification based on area needs
Role qualifications as a Production Operator 2:
Manufacturing experience with Overhead Cranes or Hoists is required
Experience with mechanical machines or devices, preferring electrical and/or mechanical assembly
Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills
Skill to operate various precision measuring tools and hand tools
Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating instructions, procedures, and prints
Ability to perform basic shop math functions
Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in English
Ability to electronically record production information
May be required to keep and maintain crane certification
Basic knowledge of interpreting prints and drawings

Operate skid-steers or forklifts to move large materials and equipment
Accurately record data and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner; determine and report inconsistencies

Squeegee excess water from the production floor and shovel waste materials into garbage

The Production Operator 1 is responsible for entry-level manufacturing tasks following product specifications. This includes using power tools to grind and drill.
Job Title: Production Operator 1
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $19.13 - 22.50 per hour (Non-Exempt)

As a Production Operator 1, you will:
Perform clean-up, grinding, drilling, straightening, blast booth, cutting, galvanizing process preparation and general production support tasks
Use a hoist or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as required
Examine finished products for defects
Accurately label all parts for routing to the next operation
Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence
Enter job data in production tracking system

Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up the production line, collaborating with the production line team, reading and understanding job tickets, and ensuring all jobs are processed properly. We have 1st and 2nd shift available. 1st Shift works works Monday-Friday; 6:00am-2:00pm. 2nd Shift works Monday-Thursday; 1:45pm-11:45pm.

Summary
This position is responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC machines and tooling (e.g., tool changes and wear) in the assigned cell or production area. Responsible for machining parts and operating CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards. Machine Operator will work with various materials and parts from castings. Duties are performed under direct supervision. This individual must be dedicated to the success of Polaris and its quest to continually improve its operations. Perform duties to manufacture Polaris products, meeting OSHA and other compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Operates CNC equipment and is responsible for the proper use of machines, tooling and inspection equipment.
Loads parts into machine and verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run and sample parts.
Maintains production rate in terms of cycle time, quantity and quality assigned to the job.
Changes cutting tools and adjusts machine feeds and speeds as needed.
Understands the manufacturing and machining processes and makes suggestions in how to improve these processes.
Uses various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and other inspection gauges.
Verifies fixture setup using all necessary inspection equipment under supervision.
Makes high quality parts to specifications and assists with the identification of root causes and corrective action for quality problems.
Understands and follows work orders and documents. Ensures all production process documentation is completed and accurate.
Performs in process inspection of machined parts and accurately completes the required paperwork such as the Inspection Process (IP) sheet.
